There's actually a bit of a problem with users uploading their own avatars as it seems to be a bit of a security risk.

The option has been disabled for the time being until it can be fixed.

what kind of risk?

in the uploading part?

maybe you can just make it by users pasting the url of the pic instead of uploading the pics

I'm not all too sure to be honest. I turned it on and had old Qball tell me that it was likely a bit of a bad idea so....I turned it back off till he could figure out what was wrong.
