I shamefully make fun, of the trials and tribulations of UN members recanting their experiences of loves lost dream.
But today I witnessed my own brother broken in half as he had to accept that any possible relationship with Yayoi would not progress further than a close friendship, I think Ricky believed in his heart of hearts that he was Yayoi?s first love, and would progress to something much more. Is it naive tomfoolery, to want from a relationship, that could never be anything other than a ?silly crush?, well for Ricky at the moment this holiday has turned into his worst nightmare, Yayoi is cute, pretty and confident, in fact she a lot more mature that Ricky would care to admit. When Ricky first clapped eyes on Yayoi, he couldn?t look her in the face, she took the lead in the introductions, enthusiastically encouraging Ricky to be more sociable, I think Ricky misinterpreted this to be love at first sight, and reacted accordingly. I didn?t help much by downloading Mum and Dads, favoured musical love romp, and playing this in the back ground when they were sitting hand in hand together , So ?Puppy love? , the Donny Osmond classic, and The Rubettes ?Sugar baby love? became for me there signature tune.... Puppy love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD45zl7L5Io Sugar baby love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyIMi3uTpBQ Yayoi plays the trumpet in her School Orchestra, and likes to demonstrate her bugle skills on any victim that is crazy enough to listen, even her parents who worship the ground Yayoi walks on want to beat her with it within just 30 seconds, it just makes me wonder why in god?s name the school let her within 20 meters of a musical instrument, the fact that Ricky was clapping and dancing dementedly to what can only be described as little more than Yayoi?s interpretation of an air raid warning, should have set alarm bells ringing! There is a Japanese saying that translates as ?Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a teardrop?....looks like Ricky has found this out the hard way. |
