What excites me, personally, about live music isn't whether the singer is on key every song (in a two hour set, that's not going to happen, especially with the melodies Hikki comes up with), it's the energy they bring to their stage and give to the audience; Hikki's energy for the first set was pretty uncertain, but once she was comfortable with the music the entire show got a lot better regardless of how accurate her voice was.
