well in the case of my country, during earlier times we were under the american nation, for about 10 years.

so their influence in our culture is very heavy. every school in the phil. has a subject in english and we are encourage by the government to speak in english. that is why i think most of the pilipinos can understand and even speak in english.

but in my case im not that fluent in that language, its easier for me to write in english rather than speaking.
