WEll thank all you who have given me some movies to look into. I haven't been able to see them all or even find them all. I did see Tale of Two Sister though. I found it to quite good. It reminded me alot of the fountain, Why i don't know haha.

Yes, quite correct, I should have emphasised that the eastern originals are better. I have to admit, however, that it was only after watching the western version of The Ring that I started exploring the genre of asian horror.

If you like eastern action then Seven Samurai is a must see, I would also recommend The Warrior. Any film by Kurosawa or featuring Toshiro Mifune demands a viewing. If fantasy is your thing then Fellowship Of The Ring extended version, it's the only one worthy of bearing the name of the book. Any western featuring Clint Eastwood guarantees satisfaction.

Having dabbled in spooky films I'd say Ring, Dark Water, Grudge 1&2, Phone, Tale Of Two Sisters etc are worth watching. Another film I used to have and enjoyed watching was Carlito's Way, an ex gangster trying to stay clean but getting drawn back to the old ways.

I agree with the spooky/horror genre D: but i think the easter version was better than the western version especially for the grudge 2, the japanese one was very lovely. The pacing was slow but itense at the same time, and just when you think "oh i get it" it turns out something different, i also love the camera angles in that one too X3. A tale of 2 sisters was pretty cool too, its like you don't really know until towards the end did the story reveals itself. XD

If I had to pick a favorite, it'd beLeon: The Professional starring Jean Reno and Natalie Portman.
