Utada has made a large impact...its just people know her songs as (the kingdom hearts songs) instead of original work adapted to a video game...sigh, but i think Ayumi would hit USA hardest shes got the Gothic Lolita thing going that americans love atm and her voice is very decent to listen too...i think she could do great here in the ol US of A

I find it hard to think some of those artists would be able to make any impact at all, because some of them, they're english is sooo terrible
Most americans probably wont bother with a japanese artist that they cant understand.
Which is why I think Hikaru-san has the best chance!
Other than that... maybe Crystal Kay?

yea, unfortunately any artist who features rap music would do better...because people are so into hip hop now(though i cant imagine why) i like some rap music, but it better have some incredible lyrics...and it better make sense or im not listening to it lol

I think that ayumi and hikki makes too personal music to really be able to "blow America away" with their music. I voted on thelma ayoma. I don't like her music at all, the songs I've heard has been the exact same shit you can hear on the radio/MTV here in the west..

well, impact can grow larger by people referring artists to more people

thats a good way
