isn't saving the picture in .gif will make it a .gif image...

but if you're talking about .gif animations... i think there are a few freewares available to be downloaded on the internet... or you can just try the trial version...

basically it is just putting frames of pictures together and makes it seems like "moving"... hope this helps or am i even answering what you were trying to mean...

If you're talking about moving images, this is how I do it.

1. Open up an image. (any image, it doesn't matter. But try to make it small.)

2. Go to layers, (it's on the bar at the top) name the first layer Frame 1 (1000ms)

**Notes: You can name the layer anything you want as long as it has the () with any number combination and then after the number put ms.

Example, everything in bold can be changed to different numbers or names;
Frame 1 (1000ms)

Now Frame 1 is ready to be a motion picture.

Another note: Frame 1, is a layer on top of the original image. Meaning that you didn't do anything to the original image yet.

3. Go back to the original image rename that layer as I said to above. This makes it moving too.

4. Go back to Frame 1 (1000ms) And open up any other picture you want on it.

5. Then repeat until you have all the images you want to be moving.

A couple notes:
*The bigger the number the slower it goes. The smaller the number the faster.
Examples: (1000ms) = pretty slow
(500ms) = very fast.

*You can put as many layers you want.
*You can put font.
