Hi all,

I just got back from Japan and happen to visit a music store that was promoting Utada's new song (a little tv with her video playing!).

Anyways, I thought I heard of Utada because of her english album.

Well, I sat there listening and watching her video.

Here's the thing. I don't understand a word of japanese so I didn't buy the single.

Then while I was on my tour of Japan, I overheard a radio station play her song and I was like, 'I can't believe I recognize a song on a japanese radio station!'

I thought it was fate and so I bought the single the next time I saw it for sale.

So can anyone translate or tell me what the heck the song is about?

Uhh, there's lyrics here for Be My Last, in Japanese and English. But if you look at Utada's blog, is sorta explains it. Oh yeah, they have it here too, and translated too. I'll post the link for you.

Thanks for those who replied to my message.

I guess I wasn't looking for the meaning of the song or what she was trying to convey, but the actual direct translation of her lyrics.

I bought the single in Japan and the back cover has the lyrics in Japanese. I haven't been able to find the lyrics online anywhere.

If I could, then I would have translated it using altavista babelfish.

Any clues?

there was an english translation by RetroJapan of UtadaOnline, but UO was unfortunately erased recently, so the translations are not available atm...

Yeah I remember, looking for the Be My Last PV and I ran into the lyrics. They were in Japanese and English, but I can't remember what site it was.
