I was watching one of the Philippines' most watched noon-time show, WOWOWEE
and Hikki's First Love was used by one of the contestants to dance to. Made my day =]
It was very funny.

Not surprised local channels do play First Love, because it is the only famous Japanese song here.

Utada herself is also famous here.

Yeah, she IS famous over there. I have a newspaper cut out of her inside my file. A few days ago in college, a class mate who sat in front me saw it and said, "Oh you like Utada too?". I was surprised, turns out that she's from Phillipines.

yes there are many hikaru fans in the philippines and i am one of them.

most filipino fans know her by her songs automatic and first love.

Well, first love is the most famous Japanese song here, and been used with some random sucky filipino rap nowadays.

These contestants are BASUREROS(poor trash collectors)...
gosh... even basureros, know FIRST LOVE! unbelievable... i recorded part of the vid.. what a day! phew~
