Media Interactive Inc. takes down my Sephora recording?

Posted by two on 2010/6/1 3:59:03
Hi,

Was wondering if anyone had any issues with copyright claims from the company Media Interactive Inc. on youtube. I had recorded Utada's interview at the Sephora event and uploaded it a few days later (it has been up for about 1.5 years now). Just today I got notice that part 5 of 5 was claimed by Media Interactive Inc. I find it strange because parts 1-4 featured some of her music and her interviews as well, and there were no copyright claims for that.

Heres where the vid was:

Part 5/5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dabrIk8Lelg

Heres part 4/5 to show that it was my own shaky cam recording:

Has anyone had any issues like this?

Thanks,
two

She also wants her videos and songs on Youtube also, so they shouldn't be taking down her stuff.

Using the YouTube Copyright Dispute Process .....

Googles has a broken process in dealing with perceived copyright infringements....it's a vile capture all that is in place for googles benefit ....I can help you with the form filling if you wish.... PM me .....just don't be intimidated .....

Utada will probably be pissed off at Youtube. They shouldn't take down her videos, as they are all okay with her.

I wanted to re-watch the "This is Love" subbed video from Utada United 2006, and I got this message.

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Record Industry Association of Japan.

It was there yesterday, and now it's not even there.

"Your video, Utada Hikaru at 5th Ave Sephora 5/5 , may include content that is owned or licensed by these content owners:
Content owner: Media Interactive Inc. Type: Audiovisual content"

I found part 5/5 on my PC and looked through it for any possible copyright infringements...and I found that there were no segments of music played during that part. So, any guesses as to why was only this part removed and what part of it is their property?

I just re-upped it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9JUGsqduT8

Sorry Two Google/Youtube have you bang to rights.... quote: This video is a duplicate of a previously uploaded video......

If you want to share part 5 you will have to file a counter-notification no if's or but's....quote:

"If you believe your content was misidentified as infringing, you may file a counter-notification. If you did not have all of the rights to post the material at issue, you MUST NOT submit a counter-notification. Under Section 512(f) of the Copyright Act, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification may be liable for damages."......

I'm no expert (or even have much knowledge of copyrights) but maybe it's the company who provided the equipment for the Sephora event. I don't think that's copyrighted material though...
