Oh goodness gracious!! Do you think this means we will be able to get a copy of Sanctuary sooner than we expected?

You know, that sounds exactly like Passion except in English. I know its a little early to judge, but frankly, I'm a little disappointed. I thought the english version would deviate at least a little from the Japanese... but I guess not. Oh well, Passion was good anyway so Sanctuary should be good too!

EDIT: Around the 3:53 mark in "Passion," Hikki says in the background "my fears....my lies" - now we know where she got that from!

I find it a bit strange that Sanctuary sounds like shes singing with a weaker voice...like it's not as powerful as when she belts out the Japanese lyrics but maybe it's just the fact that it's a commercial and they turned down the vocals~ *shrugs* The lyrics sound pretty good though~ The word 'Sanctuary' sounds a bit off when she sings it in the chorus though...or maybe I'm just not used to it but it doesn't seem to flow that well...haha but again, I'm probably just too used to 'Passion'

Hmm...I'm not sure how I feel about it. I absolutely love Passion, and maybe it's because Sanctuary sounds relatively the same and not different sounding as I was hoping, that I'm a little disappointed?

It does sound weaker than Passion in some parts of the clip, but I'm trying not to pass too much judgement as I haven't heard the whole song yet. I really disliked the preview clips of 'Keep Tryin' when they came out, and now it's one of my favorite songs by Utada So I can only hope for the best!

i agree, it does sound kinda weak. when she says sanctuary, her enlgihs doesnt sound fluent anymore. and she sings in japanese too, whats the deal with that??
i hope the original version sounds much better!!

umm Utada doesnt speak Japanese in the song.... its backwards lyrics she is sayin I need more affection than you know.

I already like the Sanctuary more than Passion.

hehe yah there's no Japanese^^;; those are just reversed vocals~

In the line, 'In sanctuary, my sanctuary, yeah', I'm really not hearing the 'yeah' It sounds more like 'now' to me...

I'm really hoping it's just the low quality that's making her voice sound shakey and weak......
