BoA is the Utada Hikaru of Korea IF
Utada is the Britney Spears of Japan And we all know THAT'S not true. I like YUI. I do feel that she lacks emotion in her singing and lyrics though, like there is a wall there that she separates herself from people. I wish she opened up more. I'm not a fan of her voice though, and I wish she stuck with harder rock sound. She's actually doing extremely well. Her latest album sold a LOT. I don't know much about Lena Park. Does she write her own songs? I really think only singer-songwriters should be compared with each other. You can't compare a pop idol with a songwriter. It's so weird how everyone gets called "the next Utada" Bonnie Pink is piano-driven pop YUI is a guitar-driven pop-rock Utada is pop-R&B Shiina Ringo is just... crazy. Yeah, let's go with that. Ayaka is folk-pop BoA is dance-pop I think the closest to a "new Utada" is JASMINE. They both sing pop-R&B |
