So it seems that unwarranted hugging, as a practice, may be accepted or rejected depending on how attractive you are.
But can it be overdone? Is there a hug quota? |

If I like someone, I try to do something that they would respond to negatively if they found me unnatractive. Like, lean in really closely to them, or touch them, etc. I bet he has an idea, if you didn't act uncomfortable when he hugged you.
Of course, some people are oblivious. |
