Heart Station sold 480k for first week sales?

When you think about the Distance Era, where that album sold over 3 million in its first week...

I wonder if Hikki's popularity is declining? =S

I really hope not...

err .. it sucks, there are these new artists who are getting popular this days, but I can't accept that Hikki's popularity is fading.

You can't really compare these two albums in terms of sales. I think there has been a general trend of lower CD sales in the past couple of years.

JE boys...xD They're heavily promoted because many of them are not only singers, but also actors and appear in many magazines, photobooks, etc.

Like Eclipse said, their has been a decline in physical sales within the past few years. Since you can download your songs from iTunes and such. And many artists' work tend to leak much early before the release and you can find them easily. A popular artist like Hikki, it's very easy to obtain a download for an full album. Even though they're meant for 'sampling purposes'...do we really delete them after 48 hours? xD

Japanese music scene is full of plastic-pop made to be successful, I'm actually glad that she still is at least a strong seller. But as Eclipse said, Cd sales are much lower nowadays, there can't be a First Love.

I wouldn't care for sales though; one of my favorite bands, High and Mighty Color, has just released a new kick ass album, maybe their best and only 6500 copies have been sold. What really matters is if you enjoy the music. Do you? then fine. I do

I agree, but me, I don't know why I really care for the sales so much. I really adore Hikki and maybe that's why I want her to be noticed and appreciated most by other people.
