Please don't do this. Some of us are going to be waiting in line a LONG time and it's not fair for you to hold spots for people who aren't willing to make that commitment. I'm missing work and school for this concert, so if I get in line before you, I'd better be closer to the stage than you!

(I'm not trying to be mean, it's just not fair when people cut!)

I completely agree. I would not be happy if someone cut me and I don't think I would be comfortable doing it to other people. =/

I took that we'd all be going as early as possible. If everyone paired up with some then I didn't think it would be a big deal.I realize that a lot of people are going to this event, but in any case,I'm also aware that people will be holding tickets for others.I'm not saying invite the whole forum direct to where the member closest to the front is,I'm saying pairing can keep us in a group and make it more like for us to be frontward.I recalling saying both before :/.I'm also pretty sure they'll have security there to avoid cutting anyways.

I kinda agree about the cutting or "grouping/pairing up" thing.

I stress this, PLEASE don't do this.
If you want to be in the front, wait like everyone else.
(I know I know, classes and shit, but if you really want to be front, skip classes like me and my friends)

The security is shit with line-management, no ones cares but the people on line.

Trust me, if someone cuts me,
or lets some "friends" in front of my group, at like 3 in the afternoon,
I will b*tch like nobody's business~

Honestly, I don't know anyone here well enough, to let them cut in line--Sorry guys!

(oh here's a pic of me in case anyone wants to say Hi :D)
I'll probably look a bit different tho lol

I doubt it, about the whole purple idea.

Sounds nice in retrospect, but actually pulling it off is not so easy.

My winter coat is black, don't have purple pants/stockings.
And what we wear underneath doesn't matter cause as soon as we take our outerlayers off, we'd be inside and under low lighting.

I think it doesn't really matter, but if people wanna do it, go ahead :'D

The purple glowstick idea, imo, is better

Is anyone from the Washington DC area going?

Do any of you NYC folks have recommendations for a place to stay and/or a way to get back to DC after the show that night?

Thanks

I've travelled between NYC and DC before. I usually go by train - Amtrak, to be exact, but it can be very expensive. Not sure how late the trains go, too.

It doesn't even matter anymore,I was just trying to look out for those that might get there a little late.It seems we are all gonna skip out on responsibility to get there early anyways. But still It would be nice if we can recognize each other and form a group.

someone had posted a link a while back for purple glow sticks that were very cheap.

EDIT: found the link for the glow sticks

http://www.ravestuff.com/collections/6-premium-glow-sticks/products/6-purple-premium-glow-sticks

85 cents for one is pretty good i must say. not too interested in buying a pack because after this, when am i going to use them?

DC area here, cool! I'm visiting friends at NYU and taking advantage of my sister who lives in Queens. I'm probably going to Amtrak my way up (to save time and have a good place in line!), and take the Chinatown bus back down on Tuesday.

Unfortunately Amtrak only runs until 10PM, and I doubt the show will be over by then. Trains pick up again at 3AM. There is a BoltBus from NY Penn to Union at 11PM. If you have to be on your way back on Monday night, that's probably your best bet.
