Hello everyone,

I am Chris and have been on this site many times before but as a guest. I think its gotten to the point that I should actually register to share love for hikki

Anyway I am a sophomore biology major in college currently, having a good time don't want it to end ever (except for the work that is).

My interests mainly revolve around weightlifting, playing music (drums and piano), and video games lol. I think that's what makes me and other people who play music like hikki so much: she is just a breath of fresh air when you listen to her compared to anything you have ever played or practiced before.

Like many Americans, kingdom hearts introduced me to hikki's music, but I didn't know about her awesomeness that is her entire Japanese discography until last winter. Since then I have been listening to all of her music and hoping to one day see her and thank her for her talent.

I'm happy to be joining the Utadanet community and hopefully will be posting often

Okay, so I've been lurking on and off for the last 6 months or so. I figure I should post something. My given name is Katie, although calling me by my username is fine. I'm 34 and have been fascinated with Hikki since my partner beat Kingdom Hearts II last fall and this BEAUTIFUL song came on. So after much searching, I stumbled upon Hikki. I started with Exodus and worked my way backwards through her Japanese music. The most foreign music I had listened to before was Ayumi and t.A.T.u. (due to the faux-lesbian connotations), yet I really connected to her music (especially Deep River and Ultra Blue era).

So in a way, Hikki's music really changed my life because it made me re-realize music should be less about image and more about the actual songwriting (odd considering I know zero Japanese). Ironically, I wish I could get my songwriting sense back that's been absent for the last few years. But I figure that'll happen when it happens.

So, yeah. Old fan, new poster.

Welcome join the Utada forum Katie. So many people stumbled to Hikki because Kingdom Heart i play it but never finish it . Anyway BIG HUG and welcome to the big family
