Anyway MU go to semifinal after beat Tottenham Hotspur 2:0 in carling cup .All the goal made by Darron Gibson, and the goal create outside from penalty box.

a taste of history.

so i caught the aston villa/tottenham re-run today and heard that clive allen(tottenham staff member)scored 49 goals in one season back in the day...i thought that was quite a ridiculous amount..and i think the seasons were shorter back then...one of the commentators said that he was THE BEST finisher in old school footy..never even heard of this guy..why wasnt he considered one of the great players in england with like tony adams, steve mcmanaman, and george best, etc.

pack your bags!!

the groups for the world cup were finally announced today..

group c
- argentina
- south korea
- nigeria
- greece

not so bad of a group..ALL beatable teams..nigeria, beatable..greece is very vulnerable. and argentina..as long as diego maradona is in charge of the nation, any country has an equal chance of winning.

group g(i think group g)
- brazil
- north korea
- ivory coast
- portugal

group of death!! good try north korea, there's always 2014..LAWL!!

group b
- england 11/4
- USA 4/1
- slovenia 9/1
- algeria 12/1

numbers are odds saw on sky sports news..england guaranteed top spot..and i think slovenia actually beat USA earlier in a friendly a month ago..so thats the fight for second..and algeria..at least they have ziani..wish them a safe plane trip home afterwards. you should go philipa, plane tickets to j-burg are only ?2,000..yep ONLY ?2,000!!!..lol

upcoming notable premiership fixtures

stoke vs. arsenal
manchester city vs. chelsea

look for the gooners to regain form in this one. sloppy 2 weeks was enough for arsenal to realise that its time for business again..man city welcomes the leaders..billionaire vs. billionaire...both owners known to be big spenders seems to be a bigger story than the two squads alone..after 7 successive draws, city looks to take get something they gotten in the past 2 months: 3 points...chelsea coming out their 3-0 shalacking of arsenal..go to hostile territory for the second straight week..look for them blues to do city a favor..gooners gave up wages last week so chelsea will give up their 3 points..haha

England experienced the luck of the draw and was subsequently handed, ?the best case scenario dream opportunity? to progress to the semi finals.

Selected from the top eight seeded countries, Capello?s England will face the USA, Algeria, Slovenia, in group C, this presents a comparatively easy route to the semi finals?.well on the face of it, but lets take a closer look, England have played the USA 8 times the first match played on 29 June 1950 at the 1950 FIFA World Cup which USA shocked England 1-0. England has won 6 times, and has lost twice, scoring 33 goals and conceding 8 goals.

The USA on its own will be tough and unpredictable "It's a huge opportunity to start the World Cup against England, a huge game for our fans and a great way to start the World Cup," said USA manager Bob Bradley."Our players will be thrilled."

As Beckham knows only too well, they are not a bunch of spotty college kids, but a seriously talented outfit skillfully coached by Bradley.

Let?s not forget the USA pulled of a 2-0 win against Spain which took them to the recent Confederations Cup final, Spain is a world class team, so for England this is no walk in the park, England failed to qualify for entry to the European championships because of major lapses in focus and concentration? And Slovenia beat Gus Hiddink?s Russia in the play-offs.

Kayoko I could not afford to go Lol, I will be watch avidly on the box though now group B South Korea won a seventh successive World Cup finals place after a 2-0 victory over United Arab Emirates in Dubai, with Park Chu-young and Ki Sung-yueng both scoring goals as manager Huh Jung-Moo's team fort for their place a place in Africa's first World Cup. Four wins and four draws, with just four goals conceded in qualifying are a testimony indeed to Huh Jung-Moo's team with Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung as their captain and star they must be in with a shout to progress to the semi?s, South Korea famously made it to the semi-finals of the 2002 World Cup on home soil, beating Portugal, Italy and Spain on the way.

Group G?.. AAAHHHHH!!!!!!!....Brazil, North Korea, Drogba?s Ivory Coast, and Portugal find themselves in one of the toughest groups.

Yes by far the match with Man City will be a test for Chelsea today and just goes to show how the premier league is by no means over , Man U v West Ham, more goals scored at Upton Park this season than at any other Premier League ground, ?Whenever you play Manchester United, you have to go into the game believing you can win, otherwise they can outplay you? West Ham captain Scott Parker

what format did you use for the knockout stages pips?..at quarters ive England playing a BIG european side..2nd opener isnt so easy for them either though they are expected to win the match i predicted to play..

and if i did the format right, ive South Korea taking another swing at France to start the knockout stages..from history, the margin of victory for France has gotten smaller and smaller every time we met..and in germany '06, park's equaliser in the 81st proved to keep the trend going...securing a draw..now, ho hum..its our time..no zidane, no thuram, and hopefully no vieira..but~ we get benzema and ribery wont be a sub this time around..ugh...but we got the guys to beat them..a decent back line almost the same from 2006, and some physicality at midfield..something missing from last time..with Park Chu-Young developing at AS Monaco right now Ki Sung-Yong getting loads better...its easier to believe now..Henry doesnt have THAT pace anymore to trouble our defence, so we can attack and attack for a long period of time..(we just passed at the defence and sent crosses to the other end of the goal hoping our forwards would get it and shoot last time)..i really think we can beat them..and with captain 'i-can-run-forever!!' leading the way..the confidence is already there..

the real group of death lies with group D, so dont be surprised to see Germany finish 4th..upsets happen in football and ive picked Germany to be one of two european giants to pack ther bags early..and btw Tim Cahill CAN outjump ANYONE in this group..yea that means, Vidic, Subotic, Mertesacker, and even Metzelder..can probably outmuscle Essien too..so watch for that..

and is it just me that thinks this, or can Ivory Coast win group G? as packed as it is..this is possibly the strongest African side EVER in the tournament. with quality players in 'the Drog!!', the Toure bros. and Saloman Kalou...they CAN and WILL beat Portugal(just watch), and can put some nervousness in Brazil..

What Format?
You may ask Kayoko because it is beginning to look like ?planet pips?.

But I have England?s route to the last sixteen as the winner of group C playing the runner up of group D, then and bear with me here, I have the winner of that match playing the winners of the group A and Group B runners up for the Quarters

Now on planet pips, Group A consists of South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay and France, Group B Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, and Greece, and Group D as Germany, Australia, Serbia and Ghana...
So yes England could face a tough match if they failed to win the group ?

God save us from referees, I won?t moan but webb needs a white cane, and a golden Labrador, Richards handled it, and lampard half hearted penalty rounded off a seriously crap day?one can see now why Man U are the bookies favourite they are looking more dangerous as a depleted side demolished hapless West Ham 4 nothing, Gigs played a blinder ..Scholes too..

With Arsenal victory against Stoke and a game in hand sees Chelsea?s lead diminishing to ?next to nothing? in the space of 3 match?.I am going to lie down it all to much ..

oh? the same format we have then..but i hope you dont see the dream run to the semi-finals with england beating ghana and south korea...big games though not european sides, but expected to win..though IF and only if USA were to win the group..england would be matched up with serbia, then korea..where's france youre thinking? korea's in their place..take a quick history lesson on korea and france's past meetings on my preivous post..its clear cut we should win..korea and england in the quarters would be epic..the team with no chemistry against the always massive underdogs..ho hum..

Hi Kayoko where group C is concerned I guess England?s route to the last sixteen is fortunate drawing the United States, and with the Americans regarded as England?s biggest rivals to win Group C England should be fully prepared to meet much tougher teams in the last sixteen and quarters as South Korea or Nigeria, preparing for the finals Capello is keen to face similar opponents and especially ones from the same region, so expect friendly?s from both Mexico and Honduras who have also qualified for the World Cup finals, Mexico are already planning a European tour prior to the tournament.

Capello has drawn up a schedule to finalise England?s preparations up to the start of the World Cup, plans that will have to be modified following the draw because England begin their own campaign on June 12 in Rustenburg, which means they will have less time to prepare. The Americans will be the opponents then and Capello wants England to be in peak condition so that they can win the fixture and take control of the group, which is vital to staying in the more favourable half of the draw.

There are already rumours over who would be England?s opponents in their final three warm-up matches. Although the Football Association may not regard the ?Egyptians? as a big draw, Capello?s choice of another of England?s opponents in Group C, Algeria springs to mind with a similar North African style of play. England needs to identify opponents with the same play and style as the US, both Mexico and Honduras faced the Americans in qualifying.

Another complication for Capello is when the final Wembley match can take place, the likelihood that several England players may be involved in the Champions League Final on Saturday, May 22, in Madrid is worth considering. One possibility is Japan who is also in the same country to prepare for the World Cup and have already offered to play England in a friendly, given the draw Capello may now consider facing another European team, such as Austria, as he prepares to come up against the third of his team?s Group C opponents, Slovenia.
