I know how to program in C++ and Java some.
But it takes a REAL inquisitive mind to know how to hack.
As long as the hacking is being used for good!
I used to know this REALLY lazy guy in my C++ class...
Didn't do ANY WORK whatsoever! lolz... So, he'd be in class, and browsing sites about fancy cars and junk ALL the time, because he finishes all the assignments in about 5 minutes. So, it takes a gift to be good at computers. I obviously don't have that gift. Not creative enough. I only know the superficial stuff of what's being taught in class. Like arrays, strings, decision if and else trees etc. I really want to learn how to master GUI though. Then maybe I could one day be good enough to have the inquisitive mind of a hacker.

I have no idea whether I want to do Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
I have a friend who's Computer Engineer.
He buys his own parts and assembles his own computer!
So naturally his computer is much cheaper, lighter, and more efficient.
What a GREAT Indonesian guy! He started to put together his own PC's from back in Indonesian working as apprentice in a computer shop.
It takes an open mind, one willing to accept new challenges and ideas, to become a success in one's career, dreams, and goals.

Oh yeah, my 9th grade computer apps teacher said that he could hack anybody he so pleased. No matter what kind of firewall or anything. He'd be able to see the exact sites somebody is visiting. And one of the defense for this is that his hacking is only for educational purposes. He hacks you if you log onto his website, just because he wants to get to know his students better. And he thinks that hacking for information because of self-enlightenment is definitely justifiable, as long as it does not harm others.
