Well full mid week fixture and Chelsea visit Portsmouth and a return to Stamford Bridge for Avram Grant and with Chelsea?s wobbly defence his team will be hoping for a Chelsea to display the same poor form. Chelsea now have failed to win their last four matches and conceded ten goals in the process of which three of the goals where from the Everton clash on Saturday. The response from the Jeering from blues fans was understandable considering the quality of the blues defending... Petr Cech, was visibly shocked by the crowd's reaction and condemned the fans behaviour.

It?s Ironic, Grant whose brief spell as Chelsea boss ended after the defeat on penalties to Manchester United in the 2008 Champions League final, knows all about working under Abramovich and his constant interfering, his task at Chelsea after taking over from the successful Jose Mourinho was made almost impossible because Abramovich constantly insisted on challenging his team strategy. The premise that it is conceivable to buy enough players to guarantee premier league success is preposterous the very fact that contracting new players at this point in the season will destabilize team moral, look at Lampard...no don?t he might burst into tears at any moment..

The Bookies have shortened the odds on the Gunners winning the title after Wenger reportedly through the wobbly of the century after telling his players they were not fit to wear an Arsenal shirt, a number reported a classic Wenger dressing room hang bag waving tirade ,players witnessing admitted they had never seen Wenger as angry saying he was hovering on the spot at one point....Kayoko throw a bucket of cold water over him before he keels over....
Wolves visit Man U and expect a ruthless put down from Sir Alex?s squad after Aston Villa?s siege tactics and goal mouth ball smothering.,.

transfers.

key word for arsenal right now. arsene wenger's serious whining recently might cause him to do something he rarely does in january. but he insisted as you said pips that arsenal CAN capture the league crown this season. to do that however, he MUST bring in more experienced talent.

in the time of bad form and just most recent disappointing result: a 1-1 draw to lower talented burnley, gooners seemed to have found themselves in the same hole as after the chelsea match. lost and confused being down big on points. not only that, after losing van persie a few weeks back, arsenal looks mediocre now with cesc fabregas going down to injury. duration of injury still quite unclear said personally by arsene wenger. hopefully scans show he can play. charging up the standings looks very difficult now after seeing united pull a 3-0 win over wolves and chelsea sorting things out in their 2-1 victory over pompey. and seeing aston villa speeding close in the gooners rear view mirror, that clash should determine what place arsenal plans on staying by january.

i respect the young whole young development stuff, but geez come on, guys like vela, ramsey, wilshere just arent ready for first team yet. the board offers money to spend so why not spend away? united, city, liverpool, and chelsea ALL plan on doing so anyways, match up with their transfers. this january looks to be the most busy january ive seen in some time, so lets hope we can get the better end of the stick, rather than watching chelsea bring in ribery and we're here sucking our thumbs waiting for rvp, bendtner, and fabby to get fit.

no news, just playing spectator for tomorrow, BUT big news in regards to the last 16 in champions league..Arsenal drawn against Porto. two other big ones are AC Milan drawn against Manchester United. val, this should be huge. David Beckham makes his return to Old Trafford since his departure to Real Madrid..lets see if he'll dazzle united supporters with his free kicks; he should put his hair up just for the fans to see from back inthe day. its gonna be your day pips, getting to see Becks in England again. also Ronaldinho ooh'd and awe'd spectators AND players in the Santiago Bernabeu every time he destroyed Real Madrid, now the 'theatre of dreams' seems to be the next venue for brilliance.

also!! the baddest boy you call a manager makes, his very missed depature, beloved return to London as Chelsea were drawn agsinst Inter Milan. AND, forgot never noticed, Carlo Ancelotti returns, not to face his former club, but to the San Siro..should be very interesting

Yes one can?t take away the fact that Beckham is commercially blessed, to his sponsors he is some King Canute: http://www.viking.no/e/people/e-knud.htm , I think LA Galaxy fans might have a rather different opinion on that.

But yes the Beckham publicity cavalcade has already arrived commanding the front pages of all the red tops , the second leg of the draw at Old Trafford will generate great emotion, Beckham has been vocal ,howling that a reunion with Man U would be, wait for it ?beautiful? ?.Look Kayako, Val we all know that ?King? Beckham will get a hero?s reception he feels is deserved after contributing so much to Man U success, and I don?t think there are many who would deny Becks that, one has to balance and temper this with the ?Beckham? brand that has on occasions been a rather rancid mixture of Hollywood sleaze and reptilian ambition?

Now Jose Mourinho?s return with Inter Milan to Chelsea is a match made in heaven as box office draws go, the subterfuge surrounding ?the special ones? departure and the intrigue and whispers behind closed doors when Mourinho walks back into Stamford Bridge, and let not be churlish here the ?special one? is guaranteed a hero?s welcome, he brought in players such as Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba, who adored his methods. To the "shed? supporters Mourinho remains an icon, the manager who brought the title back after 50 years that brought respect from around the world. In all fairness the same may not be said for Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti, Who often traded harsh comments with Mourinho across footballs great divide and lets not forget Ancelotti's status as a symbol of AC Milan's success in the European Cup and Champions League this had been a constant source of irritation to Inter and will further add subtlety this tie.

I would like to draw debate to the coming transfer window and the preposterous theory that buying in expensive players will lead to premiership success , glance down the premier leagues losses column and City?s M Hughes should be the envy of every other Premier league Manager but another crushing set back was delivered by a second defeat , gone was the arrogant swagger there when he was scorning Alex Ferguson Man U a few months ago and his expensively assembled side who just don?t seem to be able to win, only one victory in 10 premier league matches, ironically against Chelsea. All of this failure to provide a return for the Abu Dhabi oil money whose owners anticipated huge capital return when they financed the clubs astonishing spending spree, city started against Tottenham with two of the most expensive players in premier league?s history Robinho for one plus Emmanuel Adebayor, and they were no match for the Harry Redknapp?s front line, Carlos Tevez might have worked hard but the two players either side of him were a total waste of money and time, quite how Robinho earns his inflated wages is anyone?s guess, so whoever thinks that a club can buy the title think again.

The weekend Premier league fixture?s: Today (Saturday) Arsenal v Hull 1730. Fulham v Man Utd 1500, and tomorrow West Ham v Chelsea 1600?another interesting weekend of footy?.

id love to disagree regarding your discussion on transfers. didnt chelsea bring money into success?, they didnt become elite status until roman abramovich bought the club and let jose mourinho take reigns of the club. now, one of the powerhouses of europe.

anywho..united stunned at old trafford by fulham with a very shocking scoreline 3-0..two defeats in three matches isnt what you need before january..arsenal on the other hand got the 3-0 result over hull city..i think denilson's fre kick deserved an andy gray phrase, 'ooh!~~ you beauty!!!!'(hint of steven gerrard ^_^)..more bad blood pouring out between these clubs..phil brown criticized cesc fabregas last year for spitting on a hull assistant during an FA Cup tie, and this time he picked out samir nasri for an apparent stomp which i didnt see as a stomp. and at halftime, it was said players were fussing in the tunnel..wenger later stated no actions occurred at halftime.

hope chelsea wins pips..i will be watching..west ham are still yet to record a clean sheet at upton park so chelsea guaranteed goals..can they just outgun gianfranco zola's side??

a shout out to pohang steelers..the korean club obtained 3rd place in the club world cup..second sraight year an asian club finished 3rd..paying respects to gamba osaka from last season. and of course, barcelona captures the cup over argentine giants, estudiantes.

chelsea game was quite odd..a game of penalties..an unexpected power struggle..diamanti converts from the 10yard spot, but later chelsea granted their own 1-on-1 opportunity. scoreline shoudve been 3-1 after seeing what lampard did..2 line violations i guess but lampard converts all 3 shots...lol tells you how crap that keeper is..united and chelsea drop points but im not happy..because its going to be like last week..both teams rebound back while arsenal cant take advantage on closing the gap further..we get aston villa next..lol

also even after a win over sunderland(a quick shout to nyron nosworthy: beautiful cut to set up henderson's setup to the kenwyne jones goal..beautfiul play out on the flanks), city manager 'unexpectedly' sacked!!! obvious though..he's an idiot to not see it coming..pips said it..the owners put THAT much money into the club and expected equal success, but failed to do so..thus obvious he would see the gun..so therefore former inter milan manager, roberto mancini, appointed to take reigns of city here on out..he should do a better job in managing a team heavy on talent..
