ancelotti looks confident..

after a 5-0 win over watford and seeing daniel sturridge double up..he think sturridge could step in for 'the drog!'...a very respectable decision, but i still see chelsea signing someone big with the transfer window open...by abramovich's blessing though, not ancelotti.

LOL united has the world laughing now after a stunning 1-0 loss against used-to-be rival leeds united...stand-up comedy hit old trafford after jermaine beckford scored in the 19th..everything else was legit..first loss in the 3rd round in 25 years, and sir alex's first loss to a lower division club, EVER! in the FA cup. chloe everton (a real looker she is lol), on sky reported that arsene wenger says united's loss will help..i think its obvious because theyve just one cup to play for now. sir alex always wanted to win every trophy possible but after this loss, league becomes top priority and champions league is only other cup left to take.

arsenal go into the next round after a 2-1 win over west ham..diamanti gave the home side the lead at the brink of halftime..aaron ramsey who's on a roll lately equalised in the 68th and eduardo gave the gunners the victory in the 71st..they go on to play stoke in the 4th round.

Sir Alex was brutal in his criticisms of players who did not live up to his expectations and were responsible for United exit from the FA cup, in reality this will have little impact other than to issue Man U with another wakeup call.

Again Sir Alex levelled criticism at ref Chris Foy?s ability to time keep, "That is an insult to the game and the players out there." Was Sir Alex furious reaction for the lack of injury time added on.

You will remember that Sir Alex has already received a four match ban, with two of those suspended until the end of the 2010/11, for criticising referee Alan Wiley's fitness, plus a ?20,000 fine and a warning about future conduct, however Sir Alex still felt the need to complain about Foy?s ?five minutes? describing this as "an insult to the game".

To sum up the match "Leeds deserved to win. They got breaks at times but deserved their luck, I'm disappointed," mulled Sir Alex..... After the match he also hinted that those players that flopped will be dropped.... "I didn't expect that performance, it was shocking. I've no complaints about the result," said Ferguson.

Kayoko?s Arsenal will meet Stoke in the next round of the FA Cup after coming from behind to beat West Ham on Sunday, ironic really as Wenger has little time for the FA cup that will leave Arsenal with a Champions League tie against Porto in February plus premier league fixtures to contend with, a tough nut to crack ....."Of course we want to win trophies," said Wenger, whose last cup success was interestingly the FA Cup in 2005.

Carlo Ancelotti gave Sturridge a gee up after suggesting he can help to fill the gap up front after Didier Drogba departs for the Africa Cup of Nations. Sturridge scored twice in Chelsea's 5-0 FA Cup tie and win with Watford to celebrate his first goals since joining Chelsea from Manchester City, but as for filling Drogba?s boots well Sturridge just does not process Drogba?s physical presence on the pitch, having quipped about Chelsea's immediate prospects, Ancelotti tried to defuse the situation over the interview Malouda gave to French newspaper L'Equipe, Malouda talked about the frustration at Ancelotti's failure to give him more first team appearances which brought a response from Ancelotti that the matter was ?already closed?

Transfer talk.... well Fulham is bracing himself for several bids for striker Bobby Zamora. Zamora took his total to 11 so far this season on Saturday and has hit the back of the net on six occasions in his last seven matches.
City new boss Mancini wants all talk of new signings taken out of circulation until after Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final showdown with Man U. Word around the camp fire is that former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira will join with Mancini in the next few days after agreeing a loan deal from Inter Milan.

Also Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is doing his level best to dismiss speculation linking Liverpool with a January signing of Real Madrid's Dutch striker and Man U legend Ruud van Nistelrooy. Banitez said: "I don't want to talk about individual players or names, but we are not trying for Ruud van Nistelrooy, so that will be very difficult to bring him in. "We are working hard on getting some players in and have had some good talks, but my priority now is talking about good things with my players."

The sound of desperation if I ever heard it.....As Gecko said in the film Wall Street ?transfers are for wimps?remember.....!!
I will always believe that a manager has lost the art of motivation when he has to reach for the cheque book to make up for a poor season ....
We will see.....

Happy New Year Val, I don?t think FA Cup fixtures make an iota of difference towards overall success in premiership, the bookies have Man U strong favourites as we progress into the second half of the season, Chelsea just don?t have the strength in depth to stand out as clear favourites, Chelsea executive seems unwilling to place the same commitment, resources and faith in a comprehensive long term apprenticeship system, Chelsea lack the distinct player commitment and attitude to display the consistency to build a comprehensive premiership lead to take Chelsea through to the end of the season....

Winning is about having the belief in one planning and commitment to succeed as a team...conspicuously absent from all the top premiership clubs...

Joeri, physical activity of any kind stimulates growth and leads to strong physical and emotional wellbeing. The importance of physical activity is stronger now than ever. High levels of social sports lead to a much lower instances of high blood pressure, obesity, and heart disease later in life. Exercise is also known to relieve stress, cutting down the instances of depression, and anxiety. Exercise improves health, a strong body leads to confidence and mental sharpness, even moderate physical activity has been shown to improve a person?s skills at arithmetic, reading, and memorization.

Sport, not just exercise contributes to your development both psychologically and socially. Its one way children gain acceptance by their peers is to be good at sports....
I am afraid though I am as lazy as you, I like watch sport but as for taking part... ho hum .......?....

all premiership clubs!? you lie like a mattress nancarrow-san!!! what about arsenal? arsene wenger has never admired the transfer window..if he did buy players it was youngens to put into development from the youth academy/reserve team..he hardly buys standout talent at all(even thierry henry was a big nobody until wenger put him at striker after henry spent a season out at winger in juventus) he's just so confident now on thinking he can win it all that he's pulling out all the stops..he has faith in his squad..he tends to play his youth players before pulling out his wallet..this year he just wants to compensate for the loss of rvp until may...he said, “i have the money and the desire, ive just not the player.” chamakh and bellamy are out so why hasnt he looked at huntelaar?..something interesting i heard on 'fox fone-in'(basically like 'youre on sky sports')..some caller mentioned roman pavlyuchenko moving to arsenal..that could be a really good move..he has good chemistry with arshavin, pretty big which is something we lack up front ..problem is 1. that tottenham and arsenal never really did business together..and 2. they will continue to never really do business because harry redknapp is managing tottenham.. grumpy as he intelligent about footy..he hates arsenal..even when he managed pompey, well theyve never beaten arsenal since 1958..so you know the story..now even at tottenham with a better squad, central london still never had an edge on us gunners..he wouldnt want to give a player to help a side he has trouble beating even though pavlyuchenko hardly ever saw first team this campaign.

-continued

united defender nemanja vidic has dismissed talks on feuding with sir alex..this has been quite an issue lately and not the first time it looked like vidic had a problem at the club..his famous train station incident 2 years ago i believe will be remembered...

ive a touch of genius pips as roberto mancini is indeed pursuing his former players at inter to strengthen his city squad..your boy scout talk seems to fit the mood as mancini has adapted well into hostile man city and brought back that lost respect players had for one another; looks more like a team now as they finally put together a string of wins: 2 i believe lol..he also seemed confident, with hand on heart lol, to say that he plans on taking down united's banner stating city's luck on getting trophies..which is none!

and about joeri's comment..i do train as well..high school had the military program in which i was a part of to stay/get fit over 4 years at school..i still work out, but ive been slacking off recently as well due to cold weather (i find it to be a pain)..but i do play soccer..most active users should know during the jj era that i plan to play professionally ..im a shunsuke nakamura lover..i play like him, i want to be like him, hell i want to be him!! kidding btw..

edit: wednesday..
bolton/arsenal fixture postponed due to sudden heavy snow in the highbury area..great, now we're two games back and so much for possibly making nancarrow-san super scared..also arsene wenger predicts that 83 points could be enough to win the league this season..with the lack of consistency for any top4 teams..the points leader are expected to collect a very small sum than usual..and lastly wenger says bendtner's fitness tests progressivly through the next few weeks determine if he will make a move for a striker..50-50 he says, BUT if a bargain arises, he WILL add a player regardless of bendtner's fitness..“i cant go the rest of the year with one striker,” wenger stated.
