pink sake is good though..totally your style as if it was made just for you..pink is a chick color yes but the drink itself definitely is not sister..lol fibreglass wouldnt approve but i dont care..i dont play for arsenal and the fact i want to play for chelsea....wenger's no drinking/smoking policy wouldnt apply to me..see we're square..
rafa benitez is indeed done after this season..nuff said..his replacement is still nowhere in sight..maybe putting jurgen klinsmann on speed dial would help. i dont think selling rooney is going to help relieve debt..you sell him, you need to buy a replacement so out goes about 20 million, but most importantly..who do you replace wayne rooney with??..and curious, what does rooney's price tag show as?? i dont think he's worth ?80,000,000 like ronaldo, but putting him in with ribery at ?40,000,000 is too low for wayne..?60,000,000 not sure because he doesnt score as much as drogba, (united) ruud, or (arsenal) thierry henry..if youre paying 70, then united will milk 80 off of you anyways...so its tough to call how much barca/real willing to offer.. and ribery IS worth 40 million pips, maybe because he's so ugly that youre saying he's not worth it...i realise that you like the 'frank' lampard type good looking faces but dont be naive..be happy if you get franck, but realise that arsenal is going to stomp chelsea come the second leg, with..or without ribery..because fibreglass is back!!..you shouldnt feel so confident now...shudder more and more as feb.7th draws near... |

Okay it make me so mad, at the first time many MU fans not agree that these (Malcolm Glazer, blazer, geezer who ever you are) bought Man U. And i agree with Kayoko sell Rooney not solving MU huge debt. Berbatov not recover yet, Owen not showing a good progress as a Striker , defender crisis.
Uhm i not a tee-total too pips just water, sometimes cheating soft drink XD |

steven gerrard strongly linked to with real madrid for ?30m...gerrard expressed his desire to win trophies and feels that liverpool is not the place to do so..benitez vows fight on and apologized to the reds' fans saying things can only get better, but if gerrard leaves, theyre as good as done. expect real to make a move for torres too if they succeed in gerrard's transfer attempt..
philippe senderos expected to leave arsenal after his injury woes kept him on the bench and with sol campbell returning, arsenal gave him permission to look for another club..'fibreglass' and gael clichy fit for sunday's fixture with bolton which means we are in good hands to win..and give new manager owen coyle a rather rude start to his spell as manager.. chelsea ARE NOT going to sign franck ribery!! carlo ancelotti and the board made a deal that he will not make any transfers this window or he will forfeit as manager...quoted,“im going to win this bet!” he sounds serious..this weekend against sunderland seems very tricky..anelka is fit but their best holding players in essien and mikel, top striker 'the drog!' and utility player saloman kalou all gone to the african cup of nations so daniel sturridge expects to fill the big hole, literally, up front left by drogba until february..so expect chelsea to drop 3 points every match from here on out in the month of january lol..4 quality players leave for one month, no replacements added, deco hurt, and joe cole's contract discussions becoming a distraction..chelsea's depth grows rather thin..will the blues turn to their young players to fill the void..wow!! this will mark a place in history..a monumental-like course of events...chelsea looks to reserves' team for help rather than spending!! will we see this headlining the daily express?..sky will surely have the honour in announcing such unheard of news!! lol..so put that belgian stuff down pips we can do sake bombs together later..just dont feel so confident.. |

These are the most recently accounts filed at Companies House. Debts are borrowings from banks, financial institutions, owners or other sources.
Arsenal: Principle Share ownership Arsenal Holdings PLC: Danny Fiszman (Swiss resident) 16% ,Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith 15.9%,Kroenke Sports Enterprises UK (owned by Stan Kroenke US resident): 28.3%, Red and White Holdings (Alisher Usmanov and Farhad Moshiri Russian) 25%, company turnover ?222.5m (Up from ?200.1m: 11.4%) gate turnstile receipts ?95m, media and TV ?68m, Retail sales ?13m, commercial, land and, property development ?46m, Player activities ?0.5m, Salaries (player) ?101.3m (up from ?89.7m: 12.9%), salaries in relation to turnover 45%, profit before tax ?36.7m, accumulating Debts ?416m, the interest payable ?26m, highest earning director Keith Edelman: ?1.056m (plus a ?1.70m one off) after a protracted power struggle that lead to his resignation in May 2008. property development of the old Highbury stadium and grounds were expected to yield returns to Wenger, let?s call it a bonus have amounted to little more than a trickle under the present economic climate ,all has left Arsenal having to finance a ?133m loan note on the enterprise . The central ?200m borrowed to develop and build the Emirates Stadium, with interest a fixed at 5.6%, is a "shrewd" deal but in future could prove risky when set against a protracted campaign by Russian investor, Alisher Usmanov, to push for controlling ownership. Chelsea: Wholly owned by Roman Abramovich, turnover ?213.6m (up from ?190.5m from last year, a 12% increase),?sports? revenue ?189.8m, Hotel accommodation /food and catering ?8.9m,sports merchandising ?9.6m, additional commercial activates ?5.3, salaries ?149m (up from ?133m in 2008, a 12% increase), salaries in relation to turnover 68%, Losses before tax ?84.5m, accumulated debts ?701m owed to Roman Abramovich, Interest payable Nil, highest earning director Peter Kenyon (resigned): ?2m, an interest free loan, is the only and best description to the ongoing financing of Chelsea by Abramovich since 2003, and is in danger of surpassing ?795m by mid 2009. In January 2009 Chelsea hinted had been reduced to ?340m, with the use of share conversions. The previous chief executive Peter Kenyon's plan for Chelsea to break even by2010 was a preposterous statement in conjunction to the ?30m payouts to departing managers Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant, Luiz Felipe Scolari, and Chelsea's huge losses were up all consecutive quarters since 2003. How long Abramovich?s continue to play games with his favourite ?toy? Chelsea remains to be seen but the squad is ageing and little focus on young player development continues. Manchester United: Wholly ?owned? by Malcolm Glazer and his family via Red Football Limited Parnership and Red Football General Partner Inc, both registered in the low tax State of Nevada, USA, turnover ?256.2m ( up from 210.1m the previous year, an increase of 22%), gate turnstile receipts ?101.5m, media and TV ?90.7m, additional commercial ?64m, Salaries (player) ?121.1m (up from ?92.3m the previous year, an increase of 31.2%), salaries in relation to turnover 47%, losses before tax ?44.8m, accumulated debts ?699m, Interest payable ?69m, highest earning director David Gill: ?1.739m..... A perfect example of the cynical and parasitic Americanism "leveraged buyout". The Glazer clan bought the world's richest club in 2005, then went about loading it with the costs of their own takeover truly astonishing , and despite the glittering success thanks to fans, Sir Alex , and player alike have bleed the profit out of the business over which they have since presided, the debts have continued to mount. By May 2008, a staggering ?263m in interest alone had become payable, but the capital Man U owe has now actually grown to ?699m, because some of interest accumulation at eye watering rates. Ironically while the club remains successful these massive debts not as threatening as it first appears but it is such a painful waste when considered how these monies and earning could be invested. No wonder Val is spitting feathers...and sorry Val while I agree that the sale of Rooney would not solve Man U debts it could be the only or necessary course of action to meet debt requirements, it does not bear thinking about what would have happened if the sale of Ronaldo ?80m had not taken place, theoretically Man U companies could have collapsed in on themselves, It is time to take stock ....Weekend premier league post later Guys ....think we are all in need a Sake head banger ...yes !! |

we're all big in debt but arsenal looks to be in the best situation i think..relieved 42m last summer selling toure/adebayor for about 50m and bought vermaelen for 8m..and team is still in good form..that what you call good business..
onto the match..debut match for new manager owen coyle gunners almost got caught by bolton's early storm..an offside call is what stopped klasnic's long range effort inside the first minute. but once gunners moved the ball, we started to control the pace. it looked like something from the training ground after a nice 1-2 between eduardo and a fibreglass inside the box led to a fantastic goal from cesc in the 28th minute..later, the game was at the point of being labeled 'combustible'..cheap doings on fabregas in the box..some sitting-on-head, boot grabbing, hair grabbing were some to name...comedy right after that though..craig eastmond's very first premier league debut was one to remember..a late foul on korean lee chung-yong and phil dowd came with the stand-up..re-enacted audio, “youre naughty, but let me see you, who are you? youre someone new..oh its your debut so no more. off you go..” LOL..anyways klasnic shouldve scored in 1st half stoppage time but saw the ball hit of his shoulder and get away as he shot it badly..easy but dangerous save...onto the 2nd half..more pressure by bolton..lee chung-yong kept pressure on arsenal with countless crosses into the box after the restart..we cleared them away in relief to almunia..matthew taylor shouldve hat-tricked all in the 2nd half but bad shot selection is why he didnt..fran merida came on for craig eastmond as his sloopy performance wrapped up his day but merida sealed the game with a goal off a bad clear in the latter stages of the match...final scoreline.. bolton 0-2 arsenal lets hope we can mimic this result at home on wednesday..next match is the one we have in-hand against ironically, bolton..lol..we can give coyle a really, really bad start.. |

does glazer have a buyer or is he just putting the 'for sale' sign out on the front lawn..1.2billion is quite something..who has the money to take that club..the glazer family weren't thinking clearly when they bought it..already owning multiple sports franchises in america, he assumed handling united would be easy...no, there is no easy unless youre first team..when you look at the face of clubs you see the success reputation..countless league titles, european championships, legendary players, etc. but internally they go through hell and back to keep the club going positive consistently..if you manage well youre successful and debt is not an issue..but if you cant manage money well..you get what glazer is going through right now..the image is deceiving rather..from the outside all is well, but in terms of income theyre hurting and hurting bad..
this is why you see some clubs sell players for maximum cost as soon as they hit highest potential form..his salary becomes an issue the more he wants, you have to restructure other players' contracts to meet money requirements..some can deal with pay cuts for the better of the club but majority of them dont agree..thus leading to transfers..record/morale isnt a factor much..if other clubs can meet your quota, or give you more..then its no question..clubs like united/barca/real madrid etc. big clubs have to maintain their pride and reputation on being trophy eaters that they dont have the 'option' to sell good players freely to stay positive with money..if you want to win you have to put money on the table..fortunately admirable for owners to put their own money to help but they have to realise its going to be hard to get all that back, if any at all..i dont think clubs like united, chelsea, barcelona, inter milan and real madrid will be able to break even..ever, still while winning trophies year after year..like pips said its like stocks but clubs arent taking full advantage.. |

Buying an existing business can be complicated, say you?ve found a business you want to acquire; the next question is which way to purchase it? Stocks or assets? A critical point is cash flow forecast. The structure and management of a business deal is complex.
For instance personal liability is a critical area of concern, it may be worth the money to ?hedge? or ?offshore?. Enlisting the services of a ?go between? so you aren't responsible for liabilities you don't want is wise in certain circumstances. A stock purchase basically means you are buying everything, stocks, assets, and liabilities, and the entity itself so you also own the name of the business and the trade marks (Chelsea). This means the seller is clear of any responsibilities for that business. With asset purchase (Man U) and in the Glazers case it come with a ruthless twist, the entity takes on the liabilities and the purchaser wrings out the profits from that stock , the buyer is only responsible for liabilities outlined in the sales or purchase agreement. With Asset purchase, it is usually required to form a business structure, a limited liability Company. With the Glazer business model this is US registered. This style of purchase the buyer can pick and choose which liabilities they want to assume against the assets they want to purchase. Whether pursuing a stock purchase or an asset purchase, certain tax benefits are worth considering. Stock purchase, the seller jumps ship and the buyer essentially step in and the business keeps running as before, the assets and liabilities are not liable to adjustment on accounting ; but they do continue to depreciate. A stock purchase is more beneficial to the seller as they can realize a gain or loss based upon the purchase price and initial stock value. With asset purchase any gain or loss after purchase will be yours to claim when time come to present tax liability and is calculated on the difference between the purchase price and the real value of the business, this is captured by calculating the assets and liabilities you assumed when acquiring it. Also in an asset purchase the new owner can adjust the assets and liabilities based on ?market value? at ?time of the sale?. With the Glazers it will be teams of corporate lawyers, accountants, and advisers who will be heading the team. I think for the sake of Man U and the business integrity of the Club and English Football, the quicker the Glazers go the better.... Now Footy.... Kayoko we can always rely on Arsene Wenger to do a good ?stand up? insisting that Arsenal will take full advantage of his prediction that their status as title challengers ahead the match in hand against Bolton will result in the Gunners topping the Premier League.....It is great fun though...and Arsenal looked menacing with fiberglass?s strike across goal finished a stunner. The demolition job against Sunderland keeps Chelsea one point ahead of Manchester United at the top of the premiership with a game in hand but the bookies still have Vals Man U odds on after an impressive win against Burnley....I saw that match ...lots of fans taking pictures...wink wink Utada and not a fan escorted out of the park ...just kidding ....lol ![]() |

maybe this little girl is a genius after all huh val?? all that accounting info is appreciated but to me, im sorry but it was in one ear, out the other...great job on summing it up though..lol
and if you think that arsene wenger is joking about taking the top spot after wednesday's fixture, lets see who's drinking the sake on thursday..bolton will surely bring the pressure...2 losses within 4 days from the same club is a team-killer..so we must tighten up and focus on the match, not where we'll stand after the 90 minute whistle. cant understand why the bookies still have their money on united...arsenal clearly has the edge right now despite losing nasri and ramsey to injury..decisive games coming up as well as vital points..after we beat chelsea at stamford bridge, lets see who the bookies will put their money on then little girl..hehe..i think the top 4 will speed up the point earnings and run away from the pack..mid-70's should do this season to win..80 is possible but the form the top3 have shown..not likely.. |

Football the beautiful game is a modern day "Bread and Circuses" to amuse the ?mob?, the common man?s game and although generally excepted that the development of the professional game started here in the UK between 1800 and 1850 with first international match played between England and Scotland in 1872, actually Football originated in China around 2BC using the most basic rules with clothing tied in a round spheres or seasonal fruits picked locally from vines or trees...
Football holds one of the most important roles in the modern sporting world. Football is one of the most simplistic games to play; tonight we will pray witness to the power of football when Manchester City take on Manchester United at Eastland?s for the first leg of a mouth water tie in their Carling Cup semi-final. For Roberto Mancini and Manchester City, to reach their first final since 1981 will be a huge step to justifying Abu Dhabi businessman Sheikh Mansour the largest cash investment the football world has ever seen. Sir Alex is beginning to accept that Manchester City is beginning to look like serious rivals..... Sir Alex... ?You have to recognise they are a competitor now, We have had to wait a long time for it to be like that but they are obviously making a much better fist of their league programme this year than they have done in the past, you could not compare it to Rangers and Celtic but having rivals in the same city does create far more emotion" Frankly I hope Sir Alex and his experienced, solid journey man squad, borne out of hard work and nurtured skills takes and shoves it right up Mancini?s over paid so called stars ?dingle dangles?.... Man City has never seriously challenged Man U for over 20 years and money can?t and never will buy success, like the Beatles once sang ?money can?t buy me Cups?...well almost.... I?m cheering along with Val tonight... count on it ... Kayoko forget about sake and fireworks on Thursday it will be wake up and ?smell the coffee?.... ?after we beat Chelsea at Stamford bridge?....Kayoko try on the jacket it does up at the back.... ....rubber room time ...me thinks .. ![]() Sorry to bore you with these financial details however in due course this information will become self explanatory and give a clear picture as to why premier league clubs will have to raise season ticket revenue along with gate and turnstile receipts, and food, drink etc.... ![]() |
