Hey Everyone: It's my first post.
It was great to see Utada last night.
Here are some random things that I noticed.

Yes, there was at least one cameraman onstage, and there were two big pro cameras in the back which projected the show onto tv monitors behind the back bar. Incredible video! hope to see it someday.

Before she came on "this charming man" and "heaven knows i'm miserable know" played on the system (utada's choice?).. she probably likes the smiths.. (ironically, she will play in london at the site of the last smiths show).

I saw an older Japanese couple in the balcony which looked like could have been her grandparents. They had very 'proud' smiles.. It was nice to watch their reaction. Anyone know if this was her relatives? When she said "Now I'm gonna sing some Japanese songs" The crowd went nuts and the older couple seemed to enjoy that.

I came in after the DJ. Sorry, but I am not about to "Watch" a DJ.. but I think Utada's goal was to have a DJ get the crowd pumped up.. I would have rather the show just started earlier.

The main thing is that it was so worth it! She sounded so great on stuff like 'Stay Gold'.. Which is such a hard song to sing. And the enthusiasm was great! What a great show!

I took a picture of the "Utada, Sold Out" sign in the box office window.. maybe post it later. maybe post my whole blog entry.. should I?

Oh.

My.

God.

I know I haven't been that active here lately (sorry guys ;_; ) but that's never changed my love for Utada.

If i lived in the city, I would've gotten there at 3 maybe 4am. I totally would've camped out. But seeing as I live in Central-South Jersey (an hour away via driving -- not including traffic. or an hour and a half via penn station -- NOT including continuing subway routes and walking), the best we could do was 8:30am. We were pretty close to the people who were all in the front row and we were a good 20-25 feet away from the stage itself so I didn't mind where we were at all.

I totally learned my lesson after the Sephora event, which I arrived at 3pm for... but only got inches away from the closed doors and got stuck outside. Okay, more like a foot away from the door people I was behind the people that were against the window, but still -- this means that this was my first time seeing Utada IN THE FLESH, so the concert name was fitting for my situation. >_>

When I first saw her come into the stage ... I just cried.

You know those gasping, sobbing cries? Yeah. Not too severe but I was at least able to stop myself from full out wailing (not outta control just yet at that point lulz)... But, aughh, oh my god, i can't believe I SAW her... she looked just like herself in all of the pictures I've seen and admired -- only more beautiful, radiant, and IN PERSON. I saw her move and it WASN'T in a video on my computer screen. LIke, even now after 13 hours of the concert, I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I WAS IN HER PRESENCE... Friggin' mind blow. For me anyways (HAHA i'm starting to cry just thinking about it).

I cannot describe how amazing this concert was for me just yet. I'm still kind of speechless from it -- in an awed and deeply/profoundly touched sort of way. Kind of like what Utada said when she told us (something along the lines of), "I thought I would have a lot of things to say since I am from NY... but I kind of don't know what to say!" ...But i WILL say this: when she started singing First Love, I could NOT stop crying. I still even had tears on my face after she moved on to the next song (which was semi-gross since I was already sweaty and nasty as hell X'D So disgusting! <3). A lot of smiles during First Love, too.

Sigh...

Oh, I also drew a picture of her in my sketch book while we were waiting on line. XD I was holding it up in the air -- I felt so bad because I was always wondering if i was blocking someone's view... but it's okay, because I told the people right behind me to punch my back or something if I did. XD But I still kept thinking about the people even further back!!

I'll post a picture of my drawing later. :D

Harhar, looong post.

For a first concert, this was the most I could ever ask for. It was worth standing in line for 9 hours in the cold. HelI, it was worth everything! I got a really good spot. I was dead center and had a 4 or 5 people in front of me. I had to hold back tears when she first came on. I could see her so well! I could see Utada! My idol ever since I was in the 3rd grade! It was just magical.

There were a few times where I was sure she caught my eye, but that just might be wishful thinking. But I swear she looked at me. X3

The crowd was so into it. We were so loud though...except for when Mike Rizzo was DJing. That was probably the most hostile crowd I've ever seen. Everyone was practically booing him without actually booing. It wasn't our faults he sucked though. XD

I was very suprised at how tight the security was with the cameras. The scariest part was when a guy randomly crouched down next to me and started shining his flashlight on some guy. He was...well, for lack of a better word, a ninja.

My favorite songs were the Exodus ones suprisingly. Kremlin Dusk, Devil Inside and YMMWBAM were just so great. It was like UU but in person and better. I think she looks more comfortable with the intimate venues and not the huge stadiums.?I thought Utada looked a bit teary-eyed when she sang Simple and Clean, but I'm not sure.?

When the whole thing was done, my mom and I sat in the lounge while we waited for the coat-check line to go down. At that point I just started crying. I couldn't believe I had just seen her! I still can't believe it. Ah! It's a dream come true.?

I'm definietly buying the DVD. I can't wait.

I only met one person from Utadanet but I didn't catch their username. I saw you, TadakoXIII, when you held your picture up and when u showed it to the camera in line. You were a few people to the left of me in the concert I think.

Anyway, it was the best thing of my life and I think I can die happy now. =]?

Taboo, I think I saw you! Were you in the first row a bit off to the right holding a glow stick and a weird heart thing? If so I was standing two rows behind you hahaha

I stayed after to watch her go into her limo I got her to sign my "-Ten-" wish I could have gotten her to sign "-Sen-" also but next time!

They allowed us to take pictures but when some guy used his flash they started acting nuts on him, I dunno does it do something to your skin her bothers her alot?

I'll post in a bit. I gotta say though, that people who are "observant" think they're slick. I was behind two girls, and this guy. Waiting in line for over 2 hours. Suddenly there are like 10-15 people infront of me that weren't there. So, my boy walks up in front of them. This other girl tries to get indignant like we just got there. (She wasn't observant at all.) She saw the guy and that was it. Seriously....don't try to tell someone they weren't in line for two hours when my frozen toes and face tell me I was. Outside of that little incident, I had a great time. I'll post it up somewhere, xD.
