EMS is an acronym for Express Mail System....a thought why would a company not allow FedEx?....

If your postal address resides in the UK HMV Japan have no VAT exemptions there are allot of disclaimers in the Q & A's.... Buyer beware !!....

One question stands out ....

'Will the price be shown on the package'
Well that is a legal requirement... Your country postal system will confirm that ......I smell rip off .... Sorry cynical yes, walk away, CDJapan has a clear policy......thanks to a_kikoo for posting x

I'm so glad I ordered mine through CD Japan. I just hope that the DVD will be for All Regions instead of just Japan.

Gonna order tomorrow from Cdjapan.co.jp I also found Hymne A L'amour - Ai No Anthem - Digital single from Amazon.com US Store. I recommend doing EMS because yes it may be a lot in shipping but it is your best friend since you can track it!

I have a rather oblivious question about CDJapan's ordering system; am I correct in understanding that you can order in US dollars and they will automatically convert it to Japanese yen? I've scoured their help section and it's all a bit confusing to me- on the one hand, their stated policy is to only accept payments of Japanese yen, but I also came across a portion that suggested they would convert foreign moneys as part of the payment process. <.<;

I think when you place your order, CDJapan charges your credit card (or debit card)the total price of the album you ordered in Japanese yen. Your credit card company or bank then converts the amount to U.S. dollars when they bill you.

If you have Paypal, they accept as a form as a payment. I have yet to try it myself but a rule of thumb for me is this: If you are uncertain how much will be charged on your card, tack on an additional $10-$20 on your card.

Example:

1 x Utada Singles 2 + EMS = $52.80 USD or 4343 yen at the time of this writing. So keep an additional $10-$20 in you account along with the money for the cd. Once Cdjapan has received their money and it shows up on your bank statement through online banking. Leave the $10-$20 for two-three weeks for any surprise fees.

Wow...you guys ask a lot of questions about ordering huh?

for those of you asking about the DVD.

HIKARU'S DVD'S HAVE BEEN REGION FREE

and since the most of us have ordered online...

the extras WILL BE INCLUDED.

Hopes this eases some confusion that's been going on around 'bout region codes, and charms coming with the order...

Yes it is confusing........

Section: Credit Cards and Check Cards.........last paragraph .....

All CDJapan credit card transactions are processed in Japanese yen. The issuer of your card will convert the amount into your local currency when the charge appears on your billing statement, according to the exchange rate at that time.

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/help/ordering.html#credit

However Section: Item Price/Tax

US Dollars

For your reference, we also display the item price in US Dollars. It is calculated at the exchange rate of the day. We do not have currency converter on our website for other currencies, but you can find them by searching the web. Please note that as the exchange rate fluctuates continuously, the charge in your credit card billing statement in US Dollars will be different from the amount in US Dollars displayed on our website and in our e-mails.

...this is a heads up on the days spot exchange rates... for reference only.....and should help calculate final purchase price including shipping etc......

I would advice being seated when viewing .....
