Besides, I would expect any of you to already know that Hikaru's dvds have ALWAYS BEEN REGION FREE. You all get?
To be correct the very first single clip collection and original Bohemian Summer DVD are both marked as region 2. After that all I have is region free ;)

meh, that wasn't the point though...point was to have members stop asking the same exact question that's been answered more than once.

through credit card, I was too lazy to do it by PayPal...
but thank you anyways for your advice!! and for my special request to convince my parents :p, BTW the only thing I hate about yesasia is that they only have like 2 shipping methods!!
I took the free one and now I'm regrettin' it because it might take longer to get here b'cause of the season and such... I've emailed 'em about changing the method but they haven't answered so far.

Oricon NINKI Charts for the week:

ALBUMS
01 501.40 宇多田ヒカル Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL. 2
02 93.20 Utada - Utada The Best
03 80.80 KARA - ガールズトーク
04 73.30 ヒルクライム - MESSAGE
05 41.80 My Chemical Romance - Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys
06 30.90 Jay-Z - The Hits Collection Volume One
07 29.90 スキマスイッチ - スキマスイッチ TOUR 2010 "LAGRANGIAN POINT"
08 26.70 久保田利伸 - LOVE & RAIN ~LOVE SONGS~
09 24.60 清木場俊介 - ROCK & SOUL
10 23.40 グループ魂 - 1! 2! 3! 4!

*NINKI charts is not a sales predictor. It is just a popularity poll. That is not to say it is insignificant. For reference, Arashi's latest album had a NINKI index of 502.20. They sold well over 700,000 copies in the first week. AKB48's latest single had a NINKI rank of 550.70. They sold over 800,000 in a week. For Hikki's first week, we should be expecting anywhere from 550,000 to 900,000 first week

I'm pretty sure sales predictions don't work this, either. Like you said, it's a popularity poll. More specifically, it's a poll asking a sample of Oricon subscribers what they may buy. In fact, let's look somewhere else.

Quote:
The NINKI ratings are the results of a poll conducted by Oricon indicating interest in an upcoming release. Although the ratings are never a true reflection of sales, it does give a strong prediction about where the single/album will place in terms of popularity amongst the Japanese public. having said so, they are NOT an indication of how it will perform in terms of chart positioning and total sales for the week.

--Jpopmusic's NINKI thread

I'm pretty sure the same logic applies (and stands out even more!) to cross-predictions with other artists sales, especially those who are sales-anomalies when put in the context of Oricon 2010 (although I think Arashi has been going strong for years now). So, no, no one should really be expecting a minimum value (much less a range) based on ninki. Recent sales trajectories vs. results are more reliable. Not to mention demographics and all that.

I'm just cautioning people not to get their hopes up for this type of thing. Saves the people who really, really care the gnashing of teeth and a compulsion to start multiple threads protesting that unless SC vol. 2 is at a certain chart position above "no talent boybands/girlbands", "real music" that "deserved" the top spot has been defeated for all eternity.

I totally agree with what Dreamcrushed wrote, ironically enough for someone who'd indeed participate wholeheartedly in the endless threads of real music versus no talent XXX and 'deserved' paradox relating to this album, but honestly at this point, I have my (first-press) copy pre-ordered and couldn't care less (almost ) what the final verdict is its first-week as long as its #1. Interesting that even after all the controversy around Utada the Best that it would still rank so highly with no new material, Utada's approval, and a just a general marketing DIS-proval; I guess that's further testament to her music's staying power and relevance, even though TITO relatively tanked in physical sales. What's cooler than any of that is them debuting at #1 and #2 back, than she would equal Ayu's Japan/Worldwide chart record from a few years w/ A Best "Black and White".

Are there any predications on what "Utada The Best" might end up pulling in (playing second fiddle to a superior cousin and IDJ/Universal label's psychotic greed)???
I know being a Japan-exclusive in physical format and all the other 'full throttle' activities of the year is surly inspiring many a fan to buy it and keep it just for her effort's and honesty's sake ...

I'm just making sure nobody thinks she can sell a million in a week....It'd be great but realistically speaking, 500k is good enough.
