Creepy? oh i see, in a way i wanted to draw out a more dramatic look which probably looks creepy? as oppose for the knee, sometimes when the knee is facing forward its actually a weird joint. Because its cartilage(can't spell) it tends to look big too, most other artist likes to make it skinny or aesthetically pleasing. I mean i see a lot of drawings with , whats the word...stylistically, so i was trying to capture a more realistic yet not, etc *shrugs either way thanks for your comment on it :D

I just finish this, my new DA ID for july, even though july is almost over *shrugs* anywhoo, the fireworks are bleeeh but whatever *shrugs* XD its basically for fun and for me to keep doing it every month

Swallowtail: Actually for this i started to learn about adding textures to drawings, which helps give it that "umph", i use free textures at sites like cgtexture, and there are apparently certain ways you can add the texture and tweaked them to help improve your pictures. And as for enzio'a reflection i had a different layer and paint it and just lower the opacity (which makes it a more transparent look)But for the shell i painted all of it, except by putting that bit of teeny pattern to help it.

The programs for this picture i use is call SAI. I mostly work with opaques and the brush tool to give me a good blend along with a bit of the water brush tool (just a teeny bit though). But i'm starting to doing more or basically getting myself situated with photoshop more, since we can customize brushes and the shape of the brush so we can do what we want. Thats why with speed paints its nice to to have different brush look to give out the effect i want :"D i hope that doesn't seem too much. But its the fact that color theory, light and shadow, plays an important part. I'm still working on that, but i feel like i'm improving so *nods* i have to keep practicing :"D
