My gosh, I hate my name. >.< It doesn't sound good with ANY last name, it's not one of those names where someone hears it and says either "Oh, that fits you nicely," or "Oh, that's a beautiful name." ?_? My father HAD to give me that one...which is why I go by Amaya now...online, anyway.

i would like to name one of my boys after my dad, but he doesn't want that. he says the name should die with him. it was once a very popular traditional indian name, and is associated with the "wealthy", but it is hardly used anymore. i think he hates it because off all the ridicule he was subjected too while in american schools. hardly anyone calls him by it anymore, they use his nick name. the only time i ever get to hear it spoken is when family from overseas say it. it is 5 simple letters, 2 of them repeated, but when spoken sounds like a musical note.

i'm sure i give my children weird name...

Fact: All my aunts' names are Maria. One of my uncle's middle name is Maria. My grandparents were obviously very inspired people. =3

That's why we use our middle names! Names that sound really exotic to Americans like Horcia, Inocencia, etc. Expect for one of my uncles. It'll be embarassing if we call him Tio Maria. o_O But they all live overseas, so I never see them. xD

But I don't really want to think names for my future children yet. xD That is if I have children.
