I went to the Friday show. We were queueing up from about 5:30 or so. I felt bad for the people behind us when my mate invited six of his mates who arrived a while later to join us!
I was planning on getting there earlier but the extra time spent waiting probably would have only brought me a few rows closer. To say it was spectacular is an understatement. It's the fourth concert I've been to so far (the others being two Daft Punk shows in Kobe/Tokyo and a little thing called Footmark in Shibuya with Salyu in it) and I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. I felt like the music was I was expecting all English songs so when I accidentally stumbled upon the setlist a few weeks ago I got really excited seeing the Japanese stuff (I'm not too familiar with her English stuff), and even more hearing it live. Shame she didn't get to sign anything, we were outside waiting only to see the shiny black Merc drive past :( DJ Marlene's set beforehand was... interesting. I did like some of the stuff, but there were times I felt she was just twiddling knobs for the fun of it, and sometimes songs were just cut over each other. It was nice to hear her backstory, though, and that Utada personally asked her to do it. Was hoping for some Utada stuff to warm us up :) I hope they release a DVD or something, although it seems the combined efforts of all the little videos taken worldwide could probably be stitched into a fanmade video if need be. |

i cant believe its all over already :( it only hit me i was watching her live like by the last song! it was so surreal! definaetly one of the best moments of my life though.
HOPE HOPE HOPE for a dvd, although i have a feeling the footage could be used for a live video of dirty desire? ;? |
