Well Cesc seems to have his hands full..will he even be focused enough to play? He shouldn't play. Look bad so he can't persuade Barcelona to bite an already tempting bait. Decisions decisions, who will he put his trust in? The people of the organization in Spain he grew up with or the man that took him under his wing and brought him up to be what he is today?
And yes I do indeed have a fetish...for cute smiles. Have a beautiful smile, and I will pursue you until the end of time. Not something of everyday therapy Philipa. And I didn't know United sold the club already!? To the “Galzers”?? ![]() Kidding Pips, mispelled, but you had me just about convinced. But isn't United having debt problems still. And still no rumours/ speculations in regards to Rooney and Vidic. Bringing in players without selling makes the money they owe go up. I'm guessing nobody at United are accounting majors..Pips, hurry and go to Manchester! They need someone with your Mathematics knowledge. |

I just noticed it, but why are own goals world class? England's friendly “victory” over Japan on Sunday showed the downright rusty-ness of the Three Lions. 2-1 win nonetheless, but no goals scored by English players. Joe Cole's cross headed in superbly by Marcos Tulio Tanaka, but on his own goal. Then minutes later Ashley Cole's low driven cross superbly redirected past keeper Kawashima by Nakazawa, but into his own goal. A mass change in the squad after halftime seemed to help England, but help is greatly needed. Some players now on the squad aren't ready to perform on the highest stage just yet. Theo Walcott, Tom Huddlestone, and Darren Bent all possess great talent, but I guess not mentally ready as International representation has a far greater effect than domestic representation. Fabio Capello seemed content with his squad heading into the tournament initially, but with two subpar performances I thnk being worried is an understatement.

England 2 -1 Japan.....England is spared completed embarrassment when Marcus Tanaka and Yuji Nakazawa turned into their own goal.... After striking an absolute cracker pasted James from Endo?s corner, Tanaka nodded Cole?s cross past his own goalkeeper and then Yuji Nakazawa turned Cole?s cross into his own net late in the second half...
Most of the time England stood rooted to the spot, like lampposts, whilst Lampard did a perfect impression of how Mrs. Doubtfire would take a penalty.... England just didn?t impress and failed to connect as a team. An angry and frustrated Capello seemed to despair as England midfield almost collapsed under sustained pressure allowing Tanaka and Endo to just ghost past on numerous occasions....Capello made some 17 changes over different formations and still looked none the wiser.....England need to regain their confidence or face possible humiliation at Rustenburg on the 12th in their opening Match against the USA.. ![]() And Kayoko I have a beautiful smile ...... Edit: taken the photo down to stay on topic ... |

Steps into making England become a better team.
1. Smart passing 2. Pursue the ball handler. Do not fall back into a shell ALL THE TIME!! 3. Stop making Frank Lampard taking penalties. 4. Capello should know Theo Walcott is not ready for international play. 5. Play Shaun Wright-Philips more. Has the speed like Walcott, and better skill... 6. Play Steven Gerrard in the central position. 7. Play Jermaine Defoe..simple as that. and finally 8. Give the ball to Wayne Rooney when he calls for it. Don't wait for him to be in a bad position when you feed. Pass when he makes his run Theo. And yes you do indeed have a smile Philipa..an awkward smile to say the least, but attractive. Beautiful teeth sister. Stunning!!!! lol. |

Theo Walcott was always something of an enigma, since his inclusion in Eriksson?s 2006 squad; Walcott has been on target only on 3 occasions since....all against Croatia in 2008 ....Theo has been something of a walking sick note all season, hamstring, knee, shoulder, back starting on only fifteen occasions...Walcott is obviously gutted not to have made them squad ? I am very disappointed not to be included in the squad going out to South Africa, but completely respect Mr Capello's decision. I would like to wish the team the best of luck and hope they have a really successful tournament."
England will be leaving for the Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus in Rustenburg tonight which will be England HQ for at least the early stages of the tournament. There is a depressive quality when supporting England, I would be flooding tears of joy and pride watching England on July 11th walking out for the World Cup final, however fans spend months trawling through the facts and figures, stats and theory?s, and in all honesty England are not the likeliest World Champions emerging from South Africa, remember with moral at its lowest ebb England failed to qualify for the European Championships in 2008, consigned to being serial losers. There is a belief that?s Capello?s England squad are the best ever and when the Italian took over the reins in 2007 everything would be hunky dory, but watching England play since has all the qualities and emotions of a coin-tossing competition, the team strength has barely changed since 2007, look at the stats between 1980 and 2007, England have won on average close to half their matches, with the rest split approximately 60/40 between draws and losses. So just like taking out a coin, head win, tails lose, England?s probability averages 50/50 when assigning 1 for a win and 0 for either a loss or a draw to the 400 matches from 1981 through to 2007 there is no predictive value that distinguishes outcome to any combination of matches, whether the last match or the first, correlation can only be found in random elements or sequences, than in a string of results. So looking at Capello?s 22 matches (2007 ? present) to short a period to see a pattern emerging, England appear to be statistically more successful than previous teams, with a 77% percentage win ratio, taking draws as half a point. England?s average is 2 goals per game ..... ![]() ![]() |

Well you can't question his intentions. He wants to make the strongest squad and WIN the World Cup. Did I say win? England haven't won the tournament since 1966, when they were the host nation. But will he however? Can't say. I think “can he” would be more appropriate. With an already star filled squad, one questions just why England play badly, well not badly, but not up to expectation. Is it chemistry? Sense of reputation on who gets the ball? But whatever the reason is, experimenting close to the tournament kick-off wasn't the best of plans from the Italian gaffa. Good yes because he didn't want to mirror image himself to former England boss Steve McClaren, who injected Steven Gerrard with painkillers so he could play “comfortably” during a crucial qualification tie for Euro 2008 against Israel instead of going with a healthy, but less star-studded player. You need variety in players, have the luxury to interchange them when they get injured and still feel confident to win. England go only about like 23-25 players deep. Any player other than that is uncharted territory, though those players are talented as well. So intentions on handing out experience to “the future of England”, understandable by Capello, but not the best decision in this particular predicament. Still switching up formations/players back and forth within the roster this close wasn't the brightest thing. Here, he was to beat down countries in friendlies to ensure morale is high. He hasn't.

Well of course it felt a derby match Val, it was a derby match. I think bad blood still runs in the veins of the Spaniards because our personally delivered beatdown back in 2002 when we beat them 5-3 in penalties. I believe this was the first meeting since the gargantuan upset, and it showed it's been a while. Not many faces were on the squad 2002 had. Spain without “hero” Hierro, and S Korea without the legendary striker Hwang Sun-Hong himself. Yes legendary. Second in international goals scored behind Cha Bum-Keun, father of german league player Cha Do-Ri. Legendary status not by that, but by what he has done in Korea and Japan. Countless 20 goal seasons for the Chunnam Dragons, and this spectacular feat. 48 goals in 51,52 matches at Cerezo Osaka. Spent two seasons for the best team in pink and still currently holds the C. Osaka club record in goals scored!!...though I fear it will be broken by Shinji Kagawa. But yea he's lengendary.
Anyways the match looked good. Koreans being scrappy as always, never letting an inch to Spain. We lost, but this match holds a bright future. We have a strong squad heading in, the best I've seen since '02, but not as stiff defensively. Stacked at midfield with Celtic man Ki Sung-Yong, and wingers, United star Park Ji-Sung and North England Bolton product, Lee Chung-Yong. Attacking is getting there. AS Monaco player Park Chu-Young has been common up front and will hold there for quite a while. The second striker is the question mark. Switches everytime lol. Well, I should be in there in 4 years so there you go. S Korea should be great in the coming years. This tells you we can compete with Europe. Oh big news!! Marcos Tulio Tanaka fractures Didier Drogba's elbow in a friendly warm-up. This now severely threatens Cote d'Ivoire's chances in this year's finals. Doctors can clear him to play as it's not that bad of a fracture, but the decision solely lies with the Chelsea striker. |

Fabio Capello lamented this morning over what he describes as England?s ?curse?, Rio Ferdinand?s departure after knee ligament damage during training in South Africa....Capello bemoaned ?It couldn't have been much worse on my first day, it was an accidental injury in training, but nothing to do with the pitch. It's the curse of the captain." .....This should not have been a surprise Rio Ferdinand has started just 13 time this season for Man U....Rio?s been a never ending sick note all season, back, calf, thighs, and groin strains are just some of the injuries that have kept him off the park.....
Bob and Michael Bradley are not household names in English football circles, next weekend Michael the 22-year-old son of US Manager Bob are hell bent on spoiling England opening fixture.... Micheal told Sportweek,?when we step on the field in Rustenburg, I'm sure that both teams will go after it, right now I feel fresh and excited. The US team will be ready to give everything."......Michael and Wayne Rooney share a similar temperament, both have short tempers, in the 2009 Confederations Cup semi final against Spain the US won this match 2 -0 saw Michael Bradley dismissed , his behaviour and conduct when confronting ref Larrroinda in the tunnel earn him a further 3 match ban..... And Kayoko I swear Japan?s Marcos Tanaka was a extra in Stephen Chow?s Shaolin Soccer, how high was that challenge on Drogba??...Tanaka has broken Drogba?s arm (well a bone in his elbow)!!!!!... A Derby ??? ....more like ?come dancing? judging from the seeing highlights ....honestly all 22 might as well have come out dressed in frocks and blouses the way they minced around the pitch .....?take your places for the foxtrot? ...... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
