Last night England left the pitch at Green Point Stadium to the resounding fury of there own fans turning against them, it is sad and demoralising to witness, sloping off after a dire performance?.

Where has it all gone so badly wrong?, the failure of the team to qualify for Euro 2008 proved that England cannot step up to the plate and win the big matches, yesterday there self belief just evaporated away, along with there spirit and will to win?Rooney?s actions, words and body language as he berated the chorus of booing English fans explains why England lie third in group C, because trawling through the shambles and chaos there is so little England can take sustenance from , just frustration and anger. ??.Ashley Cole, "It could have been worse." ??wait we still have the Match with Slovenia on Wednesday in Port Elizabeth to come, not exactly an inspiring call for action? Not sure Kayoko were we go from here, that is what Capello is paid ?4.5 million a year to figure out..

But there again yesterday was a day of contrasts from the frills and excitement of the USA?s pulsating fight back with Slovenia, all looked lost when Birsa opened the scoring then just before half time Ljubijankic gave Slovenia a 2 nil lead, but what emerged from the tunnel for the second half tore Slovenia to pieces, one of the wondrous abilities Bob Bradley has instilled in his US side is a never give up attitude and the result was one of the most thrilling and entertaining matches yet in championships, and all due respects to Slovenia a nation after all of less than 3 million people??

I have never accepted that the USA cannot play soccer, yesterday proved beyond any reasonable doubt the USA can.

FunkyStrawberries and Illastrate are rightfully furious, along with all US footie fans who feel mugged after what looked like a perfectly good goal, the sure fire winner was ruled out by referee Koman Coulibaly, who has yet to supply any reason ?.FIFA must demand a full public explanation?

Giga that outrageous with Fathers Day approaching ???.

Maybe one of your friends could do the business in the supermarket?.. Justice served...

Quote of the World Cup from US Coach Bob Bradley "This team has shown it keeps fighting to the end, It's a credit to the mentality of the players, and that they are willing to fight for 90 minutes??..way you go Bob ?

On Wednesday tall ships from the 1st crusade will rise again from the depths of the oceans, the Spirit of St George, Richard the Lionheart, Henry V, and Winston Churchill, with a red cross held high will disembark on the shores of Port Elizabeth and Winston Churchill will call out to our beleaguered England squad ??.

?England!!!!!!!, you shall prove yourselves fit and able, an English team linked together in their cause, and in their need, will defend to the last inch of soil, aiding each other to the utmost of their strength, fearing not, though Europe?s great football squads lie broken, many old and famous teams have fallen or may fall, we shall not flag or fail, we shall go on to the final, we shall fight all the way to Soccer City, once again to lift ?Victory?, the FIFA World Cup Trophy??..

we shall fight on the Parks,

we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our penalty area, whatever the cost may be,

we shall fight them in the center circle,

we shall fight for every blade of grass, organic or synthetic

we shall fight in midfield and strike fear in our opponents,

we shall fight to the very last breath,

we shall never surrender??????????????..

.....It?s not over yet??..

In the mean time ?.word around the camp fire is that 16 private jets are on standby at secret locations across England ready to fly in the cavalry?..be afraid the WAGS are coming:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WAGs
Fabio Capello has concentrated far too much on the ball, when in fact a good old fashioned bonk would have done the trick???..?

Book your tickets for the knockout phase because South Korea are through!! After a 2-2 draw with Nigeria, I was nervous, but the updates of the Greece/ Argentina made my day because Argentina had held off Greece to win 2-0. We actually have I think a more easier matchup in the knockout stages with Uruguay. Uruguay hasn't allowed a goal this whole tournament thus far so they're stingy to say the least. Stingy, but not very fast. We can use our quickness to find space on the flanks and really pressure Uruguay. They have fantastic strikers in Diego Forlan and Luis Suazo so we'll need to be fully aware of where they are at all times. Our defence has been a little suspect allowing 6 goals in the group, but we scored 5 so offence is there as well. I'm hoping for an exciting matchup between us and as long as we can contain Forlan and Suazo, we have the players and experience to win.

Tomorrow: Group C. The matches everyone is waiting for. Not the US game, but rather England and Slovenia. Will bad form continue to plague the English, or will their support for Capello finally show with a good performance. All of England is waiting for Wayne Rooney to score and a vital 3 points. Philipa must be very nervous, sweating badly, and having stomach problems possibly by the vivuleta trumpets lol..Come on England!!! This girl was mentally decimated by two poor unexpected results. No more.

Kayoko girls do not sweat they perspire...

A first half goal from Defoe took England from world cup failures to booking a place in the final sixteen, the strike from close range after 20 or so minutes put the misery of poor performances against USA and Algeria behind them as The Three Lions found their feet or should I say paws and delighted with a solid performance, the sight of John Terry throwing his body in front of the ball as Dedic was about to put England?s lights out was particularly heroic especially after Terry?s controversial comments about Capelllo?s management style and team selection, the only disappointment in England's display was not to finish off Slovenia more convincingly, but this was all forgotten as the desire, lightening quick passing came back into England?s game that produced lots of opportunities, always harassing Slovenia for a decisive second goal, it was a joy to see England in a celebratory huddle in the centre circle after the final whistle ,it went from apologies to forgiveness for Rooney?s ranting at fans ?disloyalty? and hearing those same England supporters chanting and singing his name with pride, ironically to be subsisted to make way for Joe Cole....

A harsh and incorrect off side call denied Clint Dempsey a goal in the first half that left the USA on the brink of leaving the competition, Algeria showed determination and perseverance in their build up play, only for most of their attacks to descend into impotency on the edge of the penalty area.

The second half started on a familiar vein with the USA always taking the initiative and again it was Dempsey who should have hit the target, a neat pass from Altidore; saw his effort hit the post, and his second knocked wide, Bob Bradley then brought on strikers, Edson Buddle and Benny Feilhaber...it all looked as if the Americans had run out of time , but as the clocked ticked away into extra time, Altidore moved clear down the right wing and crossed to Dempsey, whose first shot was deflected away by the goalkeeper only for the dead ball to roll into the path of Landon Donovan who blasted it in to send the US fans bonkers and top of group C above England...

Last night?s Germany victory against Ghana sets up a last sixteen clash with none other than the old enemy England on Sunday in Bloemfontein, and Franz Beckenbigmouth has wasted no time in having another dig at England ...The Kaiser "Stupidly, the English have slipped up a little by finishing second in their group, the English look a little tired?....
The Kaiser goes on, ?They are burnt out, we respect them but we certainly don't fear them, England's first two appearances at the World Cup were paltry, but they improved against Slovenia, the Premier League players have got to play far more games than their Bundesliga colleagues, including two national cup competitions?. Beckenbauer talking to a German newspaper Bild continued "Therefore, when it comes to a World Cup or a European Championships, they are burnt out, our players, on the other hand, seem to be in a physically better condition." .......Suck it up Franz ...

Rumour has it that Arsene Wenger took Japanese manager Okada out for dinner in London some few months ago Wenger told Okada 'if you get out of this group, they will have to build a statue of you in the middle of Tokyo' ...well start chiselling because, Japan are on the verge of making history. Japan only need a draw against Denmark at Bafokeng Stadium this evening for the Blue Samurai to make last sixteen for the first time on foreign soil, an astonishing achievement.

Kuma will be cracking a few Santory Premium Malts tonight ..

Val..be like Franz Beckenbauer and take it back. Franz fears something brewing in the England camp. He said all those things on being burnt out thinking they wouldn't pass the group stages, but no. England beat Slovenia and put a slight tingle in his nerves as what do you know, England and Germany were paired. Ever heard the saying, “Vengeance is sweet?” Franz sees it. I'm supporting England.

USA v. Ghana/ South Korea v. Uruguay on Saturday. What's better than seeing USA finally lose and all the smack talk to me stop and South Korea advance to quarters? Fantastic!! Can not wait.

Val..... especially for you ...a best seller in Scotland ..........The official ABE T Shirt .. ?Anyone But England?....

England - one world cup win at home and one semi final placing, and in European Championship campaigns, one semi final placing and Germany - three world cup wins, four runners up placing, plus eleven semi final placing and European Championship campaigns, three wins, three runner up placing and seven semi final placing. ...............My almanac tells me England and Germany have been matched on twenty seven occasions together, of which England has won twelve and Germany ten plus two if penalty shootouts count. What does all the history mean? Tomorrow two totally different teams of players will battle it out, in Germanys case their youngest in 76 years, does victory mean more in terms of money and prestige than national pride ?....

Yesterday in a political science debate the coverage of Germany v England, newspaper national football propaganda came under the spot light.... imagery from past European championships included evil Hun soldiers goose stepping shouting "Himmel" and "Achtung" in preposterous Nazi uniforms as they went out and about killing everyone and everything in sight, all clear evidence the English red top newspapers are keen to keep this tradition of ?bashing the bosch? alive and Sunday's battle between the two offers another opportunity to fire one last shell at Germany........

Expect to read a raft of German stereotypes from the cold hearted style of play, to the perceived lack sense of a sense of humor , cue the "sour-kraut" label, and there?s the songs and chanting England fans aim at German fans.... Two World Wars and One World Cup - Do Dah ,Do Dah.......with The Sun?s head line blaring out ?stand by for ?Germ? warfare? ...while the Daily Star chortles "Job done..now for the Hun"....

The German red tops not wishing to miss out are just as keen to engage the English red tops in a furious war of words...... with Berlin's Berliner Zeitung first out the traps with..."Yes! Now we are going to sort out the little English girlies."..... Followed by Bild...."Rooney holds no fear for us. He has gone eight games without a goal? and the ninth will follow against Germany, he says he wants to throw us out of the tournament but he hasn?t thought about his own form. In his second World Cup Rooney is once again harmless, goalless, and toothless.?......

However as Michael Ballack pragmatically pointed out ?England have not shown their true selves and have a lot more to give, watching them play in the group matches you could see they were feeling the pressure. Because they were afraid of going home early, at the knockout stages you have to perform to your limit or you'll be knocked out. The gap from where they are now to their best is bigger for England but they can get there."

And as the last word from Franz Beckenbauer... "This is a classic game of football, but unfortunately it has come too early in the competition. It is worthy of a semi-final, but not a last 16 game," .....for once spot on .......

Brazil 0-0 Portugal a waste of 90 minutes, what a bunch of woosies, it was more like kiss chase, I swear I saw a groups of player dancing around there handbags and Renaldo?s pathetic posing and posturing made me scream, these two teams are supposed to be ranked respectively 1st and 3rd in FiFa rankings.....

But the pi?ce de r?sistance was the Japan 3 - 1 Denmark, with two stunningly executed free kicks, the Danish goal keeper caught hopelessly out of position might as well have gone for one of Kayoko?s cocktails with Rob Green ....

Honda selfless act of cleverly passing the ball for Okazaki to slide into the net was an inspiration to many young players globally.

On the final whistle Kuma was last seen singing and dancing Queens ?We are the Champions?....sounding suspiciously like Utada ...

So today we have South Korea v Uruguay Port Elizabeth 15:00 ......Manager Hun "The merit goes to the players and to the coaching staff, not to me, the players and the staff really became one and worked together very hard to get our goal of reaching this stage."

Edit: Good Luck Kayoko I will be behind South Korea all the way ...

USA v Ghana Rustenburg 19:30 ..... US Captain Carlos Bocanegra "We have to make sure we hold our structure while we are going for it and stay organised - the team wants to go full blast all the time and we actually have the energy to do that."

Yep Kayoko can't wait just 1 hour to go ...
