HAC is "Hot Adult Contemporary." Adult contemporary are basically pop stations but they're geared to older listeners. They usually play songs that are a little older and will usually play more softer, easy-going music. For those in the US, if you have a station that says "We play the 80s, 90s and today!" that's usually an AC station.

There's a couple different types of AC, like Urban AC that'll of course skew toward more R&B songs, and Hot AC will play newer music more than general AC.
