Hey, me and Rob Green enjoyed our little talk. In regards to his flop against the US, he said he had eaten popcorn just minutes before the kickoff while in the dressing room so his gloves had become buttery. You could clearly see him constantly rubbing his gloves together to rid of the slippery-ness, but it doesn't go away that easily. He regrets listening to Rio and chowing down before the kickoff lol.

England and Germany. Oh boy, we have a problem. FIFA's constant rejections to technology in football may have cost England the match. Upson's blown coverage on Klose's goal in the 21st minute was made up in the 37th as he headed in Gerrard's cross to make it 2-1. In the 38th however, Frank Lampard's world class chip over Neuer should've tied the match, but just two people, the most important two, not aware of the ball's position inside the goal kept it at 2-1. It was clearly at least a foot inside the goal. Lots of green in between the ball and the line, but the referee and the linesman need to get their eyes checked. Why bother having cameras on the goal post if it's not even going to be used effectively? The no-call changed everything. The mentality and tactics. At 2-2, England would not have pushed up after the break and not have sent so many players up on set pieces. At 2-1 they had to take chances, but Germany's youth and speed proved vital as Thomas M?ller's two second half counter-attack goals sealed their spots in the last 8 with a 4-1 victory. Germany getting into the last 8 in every World Cup since 1954, a remarkable feat. Lots of speculations are going around in regards to Capello's future as manager, but he has full support from Gerrard and Lampard. Gerrard referring to Capello as, “a fantastic manager”. Expensive for the FA to sack him now as he's tied until 2012, players feel he is the right man for the job, so how will theboard respond?

FIFA will not say anything about ref act on Germany : England match also Argentine : Mexico match , that's what i saw on sport news.
England got a lot of chance, its just a matter of luck. Panzer goalkeeper really top class, England got problem when got counter attack. Blablablabla i want to watch this game over and over

If to many technology used football will not human anymore , many mistake by ref before and World Cup before. That's the way football, things that i like in this world cup less diving here.... more manly hehehehehe

Next German : Argentine , still support Germany pips no matter what

Germany Uber Alles

I wish I had your philosophical approach Kayoko, it was humiliating to watch, I have never been so despondent watching an England squad play, a hopeless performance , without heart or passion ....Germany thrashed England off the park ... Germany rightfully deserved win and it was totally convincing victory, Fabio Capello and his squad of under achievers can dress it up however they like, trying to convince the media they were robbed after a disallowed goal and there are certainly issues relating to the use of technology and the additional use of line officials your match analysis is fair and accurate, I wish England had shown the same desire as South Korea who were allot more convincing ....

Germany?s young multi-national squad has allot to be proud of I wish them the best .....

After a good snivel last night, I am looking forward to Japan v Paraguay, Kuma will be on the case ....

Ho hum..I just.. it's funny to see the two Asian nations were paired up with the -guay nations. South Korea losing to Uruguay on Saturday and Japan paired with Paraguay who play tomorrow. Haha..anyways, Japan has the skill in Honda to go very far. Deep in talent, freakin' legendary superstar Shunsuke Nakamura is benched over Daisuke Matsui and Yoshito Okubo. Style and sublime passing passing orchestrated by Yasuhito Endo and Makoto Hasebe, play has looked really good, beating Cameroon 1-0, going tooth and nail with the Netherlands, but losing 1-0 and convincingly beating Denmark 3-1. So the talent is there for sure. Manager Takeshi Okada's expectations were the semi-finals and they look the part. Not sure if they can beat the Spain/ Portugal winner, but they can at least reach the Quarterfinals. The first win in foreign soil from Cameroon and he's stretched it delivering quite the run in this tournament.

OMG, a_kikoo you would have watched Kuma?s favourite ?pin up? Shunsuke Nakamura play, I am turning deep shades of green with envy ....*sigh*...

Paraguay v Japan ..History could be written today no Asian team has ever beaten a South American team in the World Cup.......Takeshi Okada: ?Of course, I think we have to play with extra pride as we are now the only Asian representatives. My desire to beat Paraguay is even more resolute." ......

Hi tempest_phoenix... yes the so called golden generation should be made to swim home then thumb a lift, the French team were made to flight home in economy class, what really gives me the bums rush , the England eleven ?donkey?s? that started against Germany earn collectively an eye watering ?1.3 million per week with win bonuses....

A taste of the jokes in the media this morning .......

Yesterday when the England squad visited an orphanage in Cape Town ... ?It?s heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope,? said Jamal Umboto, aged six.

What does the Englishman do when England wins the World Cup? He switches off the Play Station.

And now the film....

Well, Japan finally lost.

I predicted they would lose against the Netherlands and Paraguay. Too bad that Japanese guy missed the penalty kick.

I wonder who Utada is supporting now, since Japan finally lost. I'm supporting Argentina now that Italy and Japan are gone.

I predict

Argentina
Brazil
Germany
Netherlands

would win.

It was probably the best match I've seen this tournament.

Argentina can't handle Germany. I'm hoping Ghana makes a big push. Representing the whole African nation, they can pull a South Korea from 2002 and go far into the tournament. Asamoah Gyan has been so composed. Three goals and all in clutch situations, especially the volley over Tim Howard that won it over the US. I wouldn't want anyone else to play up front for me than Asamoah Gyan...that's not German. I'm thinking Germany will win the whole thing.
