Whoa whoa miss Ayehunny. In Sweden, it might not be so weird to have lots of regulation and state-sponsored programs but it's not really an idea that appeals to a lot of Americans (even some liberals!) Just remember the mechanics of our political system are pretty different, so policies and candidates that sound strong over there don't necessarily translate.
For example, if a candidate suggested an economic plan that included an income tax that was half of what the average Swede pays, he'd be laughed off of the podium. |

Remember when Clinton tried to have a nation-wide healthcare plan in the 90's?? Yeah, everyone hated it and that's the reason no one remembers it!
But anyways... My macroeconomics class got canceled today and that made my day! :) |
