Yea the pay is horrible, only 11 dollars an hour, but its fine for right now. Pay is not the only reason for doing a job. I enjoy my work and no amount of money makes up for that. I have a chill job, I make no lesson plans and I leave when the kids do. But I will be a teacher next semester. I'm going japan for 6 weeks so I can't now. But teaching gives me much desired experience for teaching. Which I will need to get a good job in japan for teaching english in japan.



Yea i know what you mean, i swear kids/teens these days love to think they are better and give smack but i respect these teachers since we get to experience different teachers outside of our everyday teacher, that way it seems more fun :D ANd good luck with your job in japan! Dang that would be cool. Yes, the experience with working with children especially at a young age is really great since for kids the adults/teachers that are there with them and teaches them help shape/change them i the future and the experience that they have turns them into who they are, well thats what i think :D but anyways good luck over there, (can i just call you Jige?) Jige! :333

Just so you know me name is japanese so you are really saying "G-gay" if said phonetically. I have no problem, just didn't want you saying "G-gee" in your mind. I love nicknames. Where I'm from everyone gets a nicknames from their peers. My nick name was mike scott, lol they just shortened my name :) So I never had a real nick name. I'll take jige with pride :)!

Well thanks for wishing me good luck. I'll need it. It will be rough in japan the first couple of years, until I get fluent, so thanks. I want to teach english over there, so it helps if you know japanese, IMO although some schools of thought disagree.

I know gay guys in japan are called okama... not sure if its derogetory or not. But gay females are called resu (les, short for lesbian). I'm sure there are more terms for refering to it, but I don't know them. So you did not call me gay, lol.
