I would never have come across this article if it wasn't for my school subscribing to chinese newspaper to encourage us to read. The only time I touch a chinese newspaper is when I read this Lian He Zao Bao that comes once a week.(I don't really like to read chinese newspapers even though I'm chinese, and I'll only read the entertainment section.) So you could call it fate that I came across this article published in the newspaper on the same day as me receiving it.

Even though this is not the 1st time she appeared on a Singapore's newspaper, I'm still happy to know that she is internationally popular. To the fans that doesn't understand chinese, I'll try to translate and summarise the article in english.

Summary : Japanese singer, Utada Hikaru, would be singing the theme song "Beautiful World" for Rebuild of Evangelion. Beautiful World/Kiss & Cry will be out on 29th of August. She also sang "Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words) 2007 Mix" for the movie trailer's theme song. This song will also be included in Beautiful World/Kiss & Cry. We hope that Utada Hikaru(refered by article as elder sister) will make "Beautiful World" as famous as "First Love"!

P.S Read Thursday's Life! from The Straits Times today. Last page showed an almost full body length picture of Ayumi Hamasaki, and when I look back at this article I can't help but feel unfair. Some of Ayumi's songs are nice, but I still prefer Hikaru-san's.

It's simplified Chinese.

I'm glad that she's poplular enough to appear in the papers. I wish Hikki would appear on US's newspaper.
