I just foun out that Loreena Mckennitt is planning to hit Portland, ME this October! That means I can go see her! She's hitting a lot of cities in the Northeast and Canada, so I recommend you check her out if you get the chance, even if Wiccan and harp isn't quite your cup of tea, you'll enjoy it once she starts singing. She's unbelievable.

(Loreena Mckennitt sings mostly traditional Celtic music. I believe she did a track for LOTR. Did I mention she's an incredible vocalist? Yes, I did.)

She doesn't buddy up with record companies when she goes on tour, which has a lot of benefits to it, but unfortunately, the downside is not having enough money for a world tour.

i love to play the remix of "mummers dance". that thing has mad bass, subwoofers get a real good workout from that song.

I think that's the only song of her's I've ever heard on the radio! Funky.
