Sooo this year, I'm in a AP Art class (Never doing it again! So much freakin work!) And I had to come up with my own ideas for a major project. Well, since my all-year-round theme is Music, I came up with the idea to do an image interpretation of a song. And I chose COLORS cause of all the imagery in it! WELL...after much thinking...I came up with the most creative idea I've ever been able to come up with XD I'll paint ON a umbrella since one of the lines in COLORS is something along the lines of, If you can't see the blue sky, then put a blue umbrella overhead

SOOOO...here is my finished result! There are images from the MV and also my own interpretation from the song lyrics^^


Here's the top side of the umbrella.


That time I that I gave up, I only held a white flag over my head.
That's why the girl is holding out the white flag...though it's not over her head but meh~

On top of a black and white chessboard, I met you.
Half of the bottom of the umbrella is a black and white checkered board~

It was good to just watch the setting sun and the orange sky with you.

The times that we pray for the dead, we wear black clothes.

If there's no blue sky unfold your blue umbrella.
The main line I followed...the girl's also holding up a blue umbrella.

Hope you like~ I worked REALLY hard on this...took me three months (cause of my procrastination) And I got perfect marks on it ^.^ and afterwards, she got her whole senior class to paint on umbrellas~

Oh yah, this was a HUGE umbrella too...one of those IKEA ones~

Wonderful, like everyone else said! I love the contrast of the bright red leaves and the blue sky. Also how the whole thing's framed by the dark mountains and chessboard.

Wao, that is really a very nice umbrella, i wonder if the paint will fade when rain hit on it.
