i remember when i was a noob, i did that like a couple of times until i read what Lord Snow post. i thought i will be banned or something. lucky nothing happened.

btw what will really happen when you break the rule here? what will be the punishment?

What if someone would like to post in an "important" thread, but it's old?

i think your comment or post should be something important and will be very interesting to discuss. not just some random stuff. thats acceptable i think. we better ask Lord Snow or the other mods.

A question like that is incredibly ambiguous and is subject to interpretation.

It comes down to a definition of what is considered "important" or "good" feedback on a thread

Usually warning -> another warning -> ban or something
