Quote:
Bonnie Pink, real name Kaori Asada (浅田 香織, Asada Kaori?, born April 16, 1973 in Kyoto, Japan), is a Japanese singer. She lived in New York during 1998 and speaks English (many of her songs are entirely in English). She writes and composes all her songs, and plays guitar and piano. Kaori Asada has said that the name Bonnie Pink is random and that she thought the words were cute together. There is no special meaning behind the name, she chose it because it was easy to remember.

Bonnie Pink was quite famous in her early years during the 90s and the early 2000s but she slowly drifted out of popularity. However, in 2006 her hit single A Perfect Sky went to the top of the charts and brought her back into the J-Pop spotlight and her latest "Best Of" album has become very popular and a major success for the 34 year old singer.

I highly recommend Bonnie Pink! She's very talented and she produces wonderful songs. ^.^ It's also obvious that she is a fan of the Beatles. =3

Water Me, Perfect Sky, Private Laughter, and Last Kiss from the list. I recommend her Thinking Out Loud and Even So album. Pretty much everything she releases is great. xD Her most recent album, Thinking Out Loud, mixes old and modern sounds. It also includes a kick-butt classical version of 'Perfect sky' which is oddly titled "A Perfect Sky (Philharmonic Flava)". ^^ And if you ever watched the anime GANTZ, Last Kiss was featured as the ending song.

If you want to download her songs, just go here:

Or I can upload some for you. ^.^

I think Water Me is gorgeous. With the piano, and thatelectric guitar during the bridge...it gives the song a shimmering yet dramatic feel. ^^ Last Kiss has an AMAZING string arrangement. =D I love the line, 'It's bitter like beer for kids' from the song. xD And Private Laughter is a very unique song. It has acoustic guitar and beats, then it goes eletronica along with muffled voices. =3 But my favorite song from her has to be either Senaka, Last Kiss, or Water Me. Usually her songs feature heavy bass.
