so then whats the real way to say nice to meet you in japanese? i thought it was (hajimamashite? sp)

i always thought that that was it..but aijin says something...he says like irrisha...idk..something like that

hajimemashite is a greeting for 2 people meeting for the first time.

If you know someone and have not seen them in a long time you can ask them "genki?" As a greeting (meaning roughly are you in good health). But Some tend to use it even if they have spoken recently.

The most common greeting is konnichiwa/ohayo(to be used before 10am(gozaimasu) good afternoon/good morning.

But all of these could be treated as nice to meet you, depending on how they are used. Mr.konnichiwa-san.
