How old were you when u started collecting music that u still listen to? and followed an artist's music? In other words: found music that contributes to a part of your identity. Not just hikki, okay.

I was thirteen when I bought Gran Turismo by The Cardigans and I just bought their best of album. I started following hikki's music when I was 15-16. I missed 5 years of anticipating hikki's music

Well like most I was 13 when I heard Simple n' Clean. But I was already a huge Goo Goo Dolls,Matchbox 20, and Third Eye Blind fan.Had been since I was 8.The first song I heard of Hikki's other than SnC was traveling.Love on first hear. This was 2003 too.I missed out on the last year of a lot of great bands.Number Girl,Super Car,The original Shone Knife line up,Due le quartz,.....If only I knew then.

I didn't listen to much music in my youth, although I have always liked classical. The first music I bought was a tape of Wagner's music when I was about 16/17. Didn't really start listening to modern music until I went to university at 19, I say modern but it was such classics as Fleetwood Mac, Abba, The Shadows etc.

As for Hikki, I didn't know about her until last year. Heart Station is the first of her albums I've had to anticipate, the rest has been catching up on history.

honestly...ive been deceiving my own ears up til two years ago when i actually started to support hikki-san...i was listening to hardcore rock (disturbed, metallica etc.) and now i try to stay away from those...strong/soothing music: jpop/kpop/piano fits me alot better...so i guess i found my true taste in music when i was 16/17...

When I was 9 or 10, I found a few rock bands I like...Which I still do - Switchfoot and Breaking Benjamin.

hikki was my first....

When I heard the kingdom hearts commercial on tv I loved the song (it was the simple and clean remix) but I didn't really follow hikki until a few years later when I was about 14. I used to try to listen to her songs (I only listened about 10 of her songs for about a year 0.0 because thats all I could find XD) Then after a while, I would go on wiki.thppn.org and look at the oricon chart to see who was popular (I heard some of ayaka's stuff before she became really popular :D). That's how I got into most of my jpop (when I say jpop I mean japanese music in general XD not just pop.) Currently I'm following about 11 bands/artist (all who are japanese :P)
