Personally, I like the idea of just forcing yourself to do whatever you're afraid of all at once, you might still be afraid of the thing afterwards, but the self confidence to confront any situation you're afraid of is worth so much more than conquering one fear you have. You can always have new frightening situations thrown at you, after all.

we had this topic on psych nursing, and the way to treat phobias, is by exposing little by little the thing you are afraid to...it's called "systematic desensitization"...

personally, i'm afraid of snakes...and of height...i just hate looking down at the balcony, especially of a mall...=P

ive huge arachnaphobia(sp?)...any medium sized spider then im frozen...its like my heart skips a beat...seeing those things just irritates the crap outta me..those little ones dont bother me at all...one step on them and them poof..theyre gone..its the same way with all spiders but still...those color designs they have...*sigh geez...

no, but whe I watch horror movies, I'll jump, but not be scared and arround extreme heights I tend to get a little light headed..

but one thing that really gets me nervous are speeches infront of crowds...I can't stand those

Ohh yes, I mean the porcelain kinds. I used to be scared of clowns, but I guess I just don't CARE for them now...I'm not actually scared of them. I dunno. OH YEAH and horror films...omg those will keep me awake at night like 48/7 LOL.
