ok, my turn:

FANTASIA

you have called me outside
of myself, and now
i fly into life
harmonious, hopelessly
and willingly possessed.
i am merely a vessel,
a canvas for the
performance of a phenomenon.
allow me to follow
in the steps of your
sweet sonata,
make love to my ears
with magnificent melody.
i am your instrument,
patiently waiting
to be played.

In the latest hour of the coldest night,
A word ungraves a memory;
Silently, unwillingly.

We were young then:
Gazing forward into uncertain years,
Unchecked by reality.
I thought them enough -
My unspoken thoughts, my distanced heart.

In the dark I saw you,
With a radience of your own.
Still then, my world clung to shadow -
As you to I.

The seasons passed and the years went.
Through the fluttering snow and the fleeting rain,
Upon a world of imperminence,
Nonetheless -
I believed in you.

so this one is in the style of e.e. cummings, one of my favorite poets of all time. and, yes, ama...it's another "unrequited love" poem. based on a true story, you could say. anyway...enjoy.

iMaginE:
what it

for our fingers
to intertwine and
your eyes to find me

i just wrote this poem...another series of haiku...or something...inspired by the solange song i posted a while ago (which explains the non-haiku form reference at the end of the piece)...geez, i got no work done tonight...

NASAKE

here, my weary heart,
blanketed by tired dreams,
barely safe from cold,

cries: darling, to be
in the halo of your arms
would be perfect bliss,

your warm embrace would
melt the ice of wintry fate,
causing joyous spring.

Won't you move closer than close
can bring you to me
Let your skin be the only warmth I feel
Can we lay in this space until forever?
Till the moments around us all are still
