I'm super excited about this album.. I made myself listen to TABOO a lot, because I knew it was a good song, and I'm really attached to it now.. I've been liking Kumi more and more lately, I'm even starting to like her ballads - slow songs usually bore me to death~

Kingdom was very well put together, I think, and it was very complete. It was a good showcasing of her talent. I've got high hopes for TRICK and I really hope I don't get disappointed!

I haven't got any of Kumi's albums but I have pre-ordered Trick. I've just more recently got into J-Pop though I've always liked it, I've never properly ventured out and bought their albums and singles.

I've only heard "stay with me", I've got the CD+DVD version and I really love the song. So I'm expecting Trick to be quite a good album. Though I preferred Ayumi's "Days" to Kumi's "stay with me".

Kumi Koda goes "faraway" for "Subaru"
Wed, January 21, 2009 (2:52am EST)

Kumi Koda has been chosen to sing the theme song of Chi-Ngai Lee's upcoming manga-to-film adaptation "Subaru." The song, titled "faraway," is a slow ballad with lyrics written by Koda herself.

Based on Masahito Soda's manga of the same name, the movie revolves around a young woman training to become a ballerina, played by lead actress Meisa Kuroki. With director Lee and producer Bill Kong hailing from Hong Kong, the film has developed into an international affair. Besides "faraway," the soundtrack features music from a few Korean artists: "Bolero" by TVXQ (who also have a cameo appearance), "Eat You Up" by BoA, and "Sukoshi de Ii Kara" by girl group Tenjo Chiki.

"Subaru" is scheduled to open on March 20 in Japan and other Asian countries. Koda's song will be released as a single on March 4.
