BoA is definitely doing fine for herself in the US especially with cross-promotion by working with Akon.
This is exactly what Utada truly needs to do in order to break or even get a shot at the US market. I remember ranting in thread against those who were against the idea of Utada working with someone like Kanye West. I know she has worked with Ne-yo, but being that the album was really only made for digital release isn't good enough. If BoA can get Akon to release this song as the first release for Akon's album re-release it would definitely get her more noticed in the US market because pretty much every thing Akon touches does at least reach Top 10 everywhere. |
