that's good news right? I wonder what it'll be like when the physical CD comes out? If there's any effect at all that is. I really don't know what to expect since the releases are so far apart.

The best way to describe the numbers is 'solid,' I'd say. The digital release to me always seemed like a move to keep the fans happy and encourage them not to illegally download the album. From what Utada's said on her blog IDJ is pleasantly surprised at the album's performance so of course that's a good sign.

I hope IDJ can leverage this to radio stations and retailers to show that there is a demand for Utada ahead of the CD release in May.

I start to think to first release digitally is pretty smart move, you made into the chart first and see how it goes, then when the physical released the rank will just move up with all the built in promotions!
