I actually sent this email last week and I'm really surprised they answered it! We didn't get a whole lot of new information but now we know that "This Is The One" has sold (shouldn't that be downloaded?

Hmm it seems TITO isn't doing as great as Exodus did at the moment. AT THE MOMENT. It's not even May yet so i don't think it's that big a deal quite yet.

I don't think that is too bad. I never thought that digital music was that big in American compared to the physical thing, unlike Japan lol. I really hope to see a commercial and some big promotion when the physical thing comes out ^-^ I've been saving up my money for it!

It always seemed to me that the physical CD release in May is the "real" release date for the album, and the digital release was meant to appease her fans in the US so they won't have to wait. Hopefully this turns out to be the case.

Yes I always thought the same to, the digital release was to please the fans so there would no backlash in the 2 month gap when they announced the physical release (which I still think is a very smart move).
I didn't think it was too bad, I mean considering Utada is virtually unknown the US I thought it was quite good to get those sales with an digital album release. Even though we are in the digital age, a lot of people still prefer to buy the physical CD rather than download a full album as we tend to just download our favourite songs off the album and not the whole thing. |

Its in the US, I think TITO has sold around 150,000 in Japan.
