But I don't think hikki is not enjoying her U.S promotion because we know that hikki is always enjoying her music career, so I don't she is not enjoying it. She is not updating her blog and no news about her it is because she is sick(right??).And you know this is just a trials/challenge for us (fans).If How far our loyalty and love for her is, so we must be stronger because it may happen that hikki may not be in news or update her blog for a year. I hope it will not happen for a year no news of her.

definitely the promotions now are a big jump from the last u.s attempt, although i'm still not that happy because, she didn't even get to be seen on big time programs like oprah, or late night show, or tyra banks, whatever...

yes channel v presented her as an artist of the month or whatever, but i believe channel v is more of an asian kind of mtv...asians don't need promotion of hikki, she's already huge here!... i would really be ecstatic if she would be featured in the american MTV, since she is focusing on the american people...=P

The thing is - Hikki doesn't really promote in Japan or Asia, either. She herself has said that. They do a few commercials, and she sings maybe on a music program or two. That's about it. I'm sure that the Sephora events were very interesting for her. Yes, the radio stuff was probably a bit repetitive and boring - but as mentioned, a few of them stand out and it did seem as though she was having fun.

It feels late in the game now. It seems like she doesn't care about how TITO does. That Myspace contest is still in purgatory, for instance.

This whole thing feels very irresponsible. But I doubt that she'd be unprofessional enough to call promotion quits because she doesn't enjoy what she's doing in the US. If that were so - then she'd be really spoiled. And for the record, she seems far too down-to-earth for that diva-like attitude.

If as rumoured that Hikki is in the recording studio, could we ?fingers crossed? anticipate an update on the rescheduling of TITO ?promotional activities?.

Why does Hikki have to endure another crazy round of 4 cities in 4 days, if Hikki had a complaint the mad scheduling is a good reason to.

basically, during the release of exodus, there was very little promotion made by island def jam...as in very little...only hardcore hikki fans and people from japan knew that she released an english album...yeah sure, she was featured in MTV for a while, some internet write-ups, but literally no tv appearance...i dunno if i correct, maybe the admins and some know more about these...=P

Its disheartening to hear this, once at school I think I was about 15 years of age, on a music project assignment, students had to show examples of ?The diverse world of music? ?the majority wrote essays about ?Black American music culture?, some about Indian Bhangra beats, I chose to essay Hikki and some of her achievements recognised within the Asian music industry, most refused to even acknowledge that pop music even exists in Asia, the rest with a few exceptions thought Japan in particular just copied western styles, even in 2009 when listening to some of Hikki interviews, there is a patronising tone to the questions.

I don?t feel this has anything to do with race, but more to do with professional pop snobbery, that snotty aloofness shown when debating pop music genre generally, that ?we gave you pop/rock n roll? etc , ?all that remains after is just imitation pop? mentality, it seems we have along way to go?..

And this is the point, it will take time, hard work, and careful focused publicity and promotion to achieve even moderate success.

I saw an article about Joss Stone who has hit out against her record label over the constant delayed release of her forth coming album, so serious that Joss announced April last year that she would be launching a legal battle to sever the links with EMI.

Joss constantly stresses that it took a tremendous amount to work, with constant rounds of press gigs over a period of years not weeks or months,to become a success in the US (In June Joss offered EMI ?2m from her advance to free from her contract).

To be honest....All she needed was one good Collaboration.If they would have got the neptunes one board...This would have been solid.They could have gotten Verbal from M-Flo/Teriyaki Boyz and Kanye West would have followed suit.If they would have even did.....dare I say it....a Lil'Wanye collab....instant hit.Not that it would be GOOD.But it will sell.I felt Dirty Desire should have been the first single.They could have did a story tie in with the video to CBTM,which would be the 2nd single of the album.Then...Taking my Money back and finally MCML-FYI.
