Why do people keep thinking that Hear me Cry, a song by Cagnet, is by Utada Hikaru when it's not?

The singer sounds NOTHING like Hikki yet people still mislabel the artist. WTF are people seriously that freakin deaf? Makes me wanna smack them for their stupidity.

I agree with you all the way. The singer sounds nothing like Utada. I think it's dumb that people always make assumptions before they actually know facts.

Yeah, I know. I was using LimeWire and looked up Utada and it gave me that song. I listned to it and I was like, "Wtf? This isn't Hikaru..." I've heard people say "It's probably just her when she was younger" but the woman singing is obviously not a child or teenager. And Utada isn't old so... I think people maybe just assume she sung that song for Final Fantasy becuase she did the song for Kingdom Hearts.

I had never heard that song before, so I listened to it on YouTube. I agree with WTF. Obviously not Utada!! Crazy people. I mean, I couldn't find anywhere that said who wrote the song, and some people were saying that's the case. But still... probably not, and it's so not her!

i remember something like this happened a while ago. [or a long time ago i can't remember]

it was an English version of First Love but everyone kept saying Utada Hikaru sang it, but it was really a cover from a Filipina singer.

and Sukiyaki [which Utada did sing] but another version came out by a group called A taste of Honey and everyone said it was her singing and i was like WTF?! lol

I admit I actually thought it was her at first. I was thinking it was probably a song she recorded as a girl or something but the voice didn't sound quite like Hikaru to me the more I listened.

I'm so dumb sometimes lol
