For me, it's Sakura Drops. It took me a lot of listens to start liking it. I think the lyrics are a big reason why I started like the song too. Now it's one of my favorite songs.

Beautiful World. It sounded too loopy and listless to me. Besides, when HEART STATION first came out, the fact that there were six previously heard songs in a row made it pratically unlistenable. Now, when I have the patience to listen to the album, I'll hear it all the way through.

For You.
2 or 3 years ago when I bought Single Collection, I thought this song was a crap. But starting a month ago, I very in love with this song XD the others are Exodus '04 and Animato, it took me 4 years to love 'em. |

For me just like a couple of weeks ago i totally started digging' can you keep a secret and addicted to you so i've gone like years without really liking these but now i really do but i think that's 'cause of the utada united versions wich has less r & b than the studio version and more drums and a more organical real feeling to it.
(Utada united '06 concert waaow... can play that everyday so awesome never gets tired of it  ) |

THE WORKOUT, from EXODUS. I love that song, but at first I detested it.
However, there are still a few songs I don't like, for instance, I'm still not keen on Can You Keep A Secret?, For You, and most of her Cubic U / First Love stuff. I prefer her music released recently, from DISTANCE onwards, her music got better as she matured. |

Mostly anything from Exodus. Can you keep a secret? and MOvin on without you (though I prefer the UU06 version)

Also The Workout. For such a long time I would have just played hotel lobby/animato on.. I really didnt like the lyrics in this song.. they seem very weird to me.. and a little annoying "come come get it get it or you may really regret it gret it" I thought it sounded so silly. But then as time progresses I'm able to discover, or rediscover the music. Still what I like most about the song is how the beat progresses. It starts out.. badly. But it brings in a variety of instruments which really brings character to it. The end has some sine sounds almost like a fm sweep or something.. But she cuts and repeats them and they sould like bubbles or something. It sounds like the flaming lips sorta.
I also like the way she says girls in "One life. two times. Three Giiirrlls. four guys. |
