Well, here in the UK, she must be popular, seeing as her London tickets sold out in 5 hours!
I was honestly shocked to hear this, as I thought there weren't many fans out there. I got a few of my friends into her (with the aid of the wonder EXODUS! [And people give that album a bad review!]), and we're all going in February (cannot wait!).
It's gonna rock!
And I'm glad that she's selling tickets - it's enlightening to know she's getting more popular!

Well though its good she have concerts now BUT its in America!
omg...i can't fly over there T_T ( no $! )
Anyway, i still manage to find traces of her over here in Singapore!

I went to the biggest music shop in Singapore which is HMV and manage to grab many of her albums and DVD!

At first i thought Singapore has no fans of her,thus, it will be so hard to buy her musics collection...
But when i go out with friends to shop at some area, i found her Heart Staion ( $20 ) and
Utada United 2006 ( $60 )!!!

Though, i only found 1 person who is a fan of her in Singapore other than me....lol which makes 2 in Singapore

well, I'm from the US, North Carolina (east coast) to be exact and (from what i've experienced) hardly ANY one listens to her. Very little ppl know of her, but none of them listens to her like a fan. I have only met one person that is a fan of her, i think its so cool that hes a guy too, a straight guy! lol. anyways, J-pop or K-pop (especially K-pop!) isnt all that common here. Its weird to ppl, truthfully any type of music that isn't "mainstream", heard on the radio, or is by some very famous person is weird to ppl. Its really hard to find someone who listens to foreign music but if or when i do find someone, I'll ask if they like Utada Hikaru, they say "who's that?" I'll say "The amazingly awesome lady that made the theme songs to KH1 & 2" they say "oooh, i like those songs but i dont listen to her other than that."
Its so sad T-T I wish more ppl knew how amazing she is. I've tried to spread her to my friends but they only seem to like songs from anime and stuff! Other than that they listen to American songs... only me and one other of my friends listen to nothing but foreign music.

as i said again and again, the language barrier is her biggest obstacle.

i guess thats life, some things you get, some things you dont get.

Music is an international language. If you let language be a barrier to your love of music, you won't enjoy it at all.

I do not understand Japanese too. Amazingly, this is what that makes me interested in Jpop. (mostly Hikki's songs) Man, I am really envious of fans who have the chance to attend her concert... unlike us who live in another part of the world..

To end off, I have found another Hikki fan in Singapore!
